I also loved seeing the photo of the dove with the olive branch over the image of the earth. This symbol of the dove has taken on a meaning of peace. In the Bible when Noah sends the dove out from the ark and it comes back with the leaf in its mouth it symbolizes the end of the Flood, the end of destruction and a new, fresh beginning of life on earth. Many levels of meaning and a beautiful prayer for our world today. Thank you.

Thank you Evan. This is just the right topic for today as was yesterday’s. I have been trying to get back to walking our golf course and it it helps to know that I walk along with Love all the way. Today is the final round of a golf tournament in which I have done well and I need to have that calm and exalted thought. I need to know that I am reflecting God and worry and fear are no part of that reflection.

The calm and exalted thought or spiritual apprehension is at peace.” I love the idea that it is God our Father Mother who unifies us with spiritual understanding as we turn to Him/Her in prayer. We can go forward with peaceful and calm thoughts to do what ever we need to do and accomplish. Yes, even as Dennis also mentioned, on the golf course or where ever we are we can walk with calmness, focus and banish fear and distraction! We live to express the Christly presence daily and hourly.
What a blessing! To learn daily about this spiritual reality is such a privilege. Thank you for explaining so well for us the many concepts we read about here.
When I feel the need to pray about peace I always start with thinking of Jesus who said “Peace I leave with you. MY PEACE …not as OTHER men..” Man-made peace is so fleeting and changeable but the peace of God expressed through Jesus was unlimited and expansive.
Jesus demonstrated incredible peace and command, authority and love in the face of literally thousands of people needing guidance, love, healing and teaching and look how that 3-year ministry has travelled over the centuries to today. He changed the world, but still, human beings constantly struggle with practising peace and love. Jesus peace was given unequivocally and unselfishly without conditions. Humans always seem to think that there will be peace WHEN …or IF… so conditional!
I think the peace of Jesus was so great that all of humanity wants it (even the warmongerers because even THEY are fighting for peace!
But Jesus said he LEAVES HIS PEACE WITH US….yes, us as well…all humanity always forever…like a gift!
So I pray that all people can see that they only have to accept this gift from centuries ago , and not feel they have to DO SOMETHING to make it happen. Like gravity, it exists always as our “grounding influence”. But it is here because God is here, now. And God is the source of peace . God IS peace and Love and THAT is the truth.
