Find your way to heaven

September 28, 2017 | 20 comments

“There is but one way to heaven, harmony, and Christ in divine Science shows us this way. It is to know no other reality — to have no other consciousness of life — than good, God and His reflection, and to rise superior to the so-called pain and pleasure of the senses.”

~ Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 242

  1. Thanks Evan for the lovely pictures which so very well match with the topics on your blog. Great..
Thanks for this wonderful reminder on experiencing the harmony of heaven if we are conscious of good alone..It requires of us to be vigilant and watchful though to see everyone with the purity of our soul, as Christ beheld the perfect man.
Secondly we need to stay close to God and experience the harmony and ecstasy of Soul which enables us to rise above the pains and pleasures of the senses.

  2. To know no other reality than Good! Thank you again for drawing my focus to the key to life – divine order in all people, places and events – for it reminds me that it is always my Good that I am seeking, my Good is my God, there is Good for me and I ought to have it. Sometimes I get thrown off using the word God – which has been so badly abused and veiled: the word “Good” has a revealing power which the word “God” has not. It was a real joy to realize all the works of Christ are in order and complete – starting with Source and ending in full physical manifestation of Good.

  3. In preparing for Sunday School this week, I’ve noted that the trees which bear the fruit, either of Life (reality) or of a mix of good and evil (unreality), are trees of KNOWING.

Here she says we are to KNOW no other reality than good, God and all that reflects God.

In this week’s Christian Science Bible Lesson the leper went from thinking himself unclean, to KNOWING, feeling, seeing his purity, the palsied man went from thinking himself a sinner to KNOWING, feeling, seeing his innocence, the girl and the family had thought she died, then KNEW, felt, saw that she was there, alive.

In each case GOD’s knowing had the power, — Jesus KNOWING God’s knowing that as children ideas of Mind that was all that was there to be known, all they had ever really known seen or felt. The knowing of sin, sickness or death just vanished. There was no mind to know it.

So when we think of ourselves or others, we, too, can rejoice that whatever distressing thing we seem to know, –right at that moment we can rise to God’s knowing of infinite good –heaven, harmony, — as all that we ever can know, see, hear, feel, ever.

    1. Thanks Diane. Love your comment! It reminded me of the following statement from Science and Health, pg 447.

The sick are not healed merely by declaring there is no sickness, but by knowing that there is none.

After reading your comment, I’ll always capitalize the word KNOWING in my thought when I read this sentence in the future.

    2. Thank you Diane, for the so understandable truth, you uttered.

Thank you Evan, for your wonderful blessing and healing SpiritView Blog.

How awe-some are all the inspiring comments – thanks to all!

  4. I like your comments Patty – interesting because I wish friends and family a GoOD Day. I am sure that there are others who seldom comment but we all appreciate what you have done and what you are doing for all of us Evan. I too get much out of others comments. All of you have a GoOD Day!

  5. Thanks Evan. Such good comments from those who contributed today are so helpful too. I enjoyed reading them and that there is much love given within them.

  6. Thank you, Evan, for your dedication to daily posting these uplifting messages of love. And thank you Diane for your post about KNOWING and the trees from lesson. That is very helpful. And thank you Patty. I too, often use God good together to be clear in my thinking that I’m not just saying a word but declaring that God is good and good is God expressed

  7. Evan. thank you for giving us SpiritView, and to all the lovely contributors to this site. I like to start my day by stating to myself that I am God’s perfect, spiritual idea and that I can only know, experience, and see His good creation. Anything else that comes to my thought is illusion and is unreal. I’m not always quick at catching those thoughts that are impositions, but I’m getting better! Thanks again to all! GoOD is All!

  8. What a helpful SpiritView today and yesterday! Thank you Evan for this thought from Science and Health p 242. It summarizes so clearly what I have been working with for several days–heaven and harmony is the only reality, there is no other consciousness but good, God and that as we KNOW and understand that matter and material sense have no part in governing our life or consciousness, healing comes, brighter views of God goodness are seen. Christ was the ultimate example for us to see this illustrated over and over. What a blessing!
Thanks to diane for her great insights for Sunday School. Thanks to Grace for yesterdays sharing of the article “Being There” by Don R. Adams. Was so helpful! It led me to more article he wrote also. Blessings to all!

  9. Diane I wish you could have been my Sunday school teacher. Luckily you are. This blog helps us to learn and grow daily. We sort of teach one another. I am very grateful for this blog and all those who support it.

  10. I am so deeply grateful to you, Evan, and to each and everyone that contributes by sharing their ideas and inspirations. What a great way to start each day!

  11. I was thinking that sometimes there are small things such as something lost that we turn to God and declare the one Mind, all harmony, etc. and these requests seem so small. But knowing that harmony, purity of everything is all there is, we can’t save it for the scary stuff such as a disease because it all counts as part of the whole. The saucer under a teacup expresses the completeness, even in the slightest details.

  12. I, too, am so deeply grateful to you, Evan, and to each and everyone that contributes by sharing their ideas and inspirations. This truly is a great way to start each day! Nadine you are so right about the small things. Thank you.

  13. Thank you Evan and all. Diane thank you for your Sunday School lesson on knowing – beautiful food for thought.
Thank you Patty for reminding me to equate God and Good. This broadens thought. Nergish , for the reminder of harmony in Good. I’ve been working with Home is the consciousness of harmony. And thanks Nadine for reminding me that even the saucer is useful for it catches the rich overflow of our cup of blessings. And thank you all for your comments. So many blessing from GoOd.

  14. God, my Father
    Your presence
    now known,
    your Mind
    now revealing,
    your Love
    now healing,
    now sustaining,
    now Living
    within this heart
    which now knows
    with perfect clarity
    the power and Glory
    of your will,
    having revealed
    the deepest desire
    of your creation,
    as the Life Divine
    I now know,
as the divine Life of all
