Focus on God’s man

June 9, 2026 | 9 comments

Are you looking for better health, happier days, and loftier outlooks?  If so, look directly to God’s man, the “male and female” of God’s creating.  This creature is perfect made in God’s likeness and is filled with harmony and peace.

As Mary Baker Eddy writes, “The harmony and immortality of man are intact” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 521).  And by “man” she means God’s creation of spiritual man.

If we’re seeing disease and lack, we’re not looking at God’s man.  We’re looking at mortal man, which is the opposite of what God created in the divine likeness.

For a better experience, we must turn away from the mortal to discover the immortal.

As we focus on God’s spiritual creation, the mortal concept fades and disappears from our sense of things.  The native harmony and peace that belong to God’s creation surfaces.  We glimpse immortality, and experience more of it.  We feel better!  We feel more immortal.

  1. Thank you for sharing Evan! Years ago my mom shared with me that she had learned that “man” is an abbreviation for “manifestation of Love”. So helpfull – even more so today.

    1. Thank you Evan for your healing ideas.
      – and for yours also,Serenity, thank you – that is a lovely thought.

    2. Very powerful!
      Thank you, so much, Serenity.
I’ve already shared this with a few friends.

    1. Maggie thank you very much for this article. It is filled with short, strong, absolute statements of Truth, which reinforce the understanding of our oneness with God.
For example, “I have called thee by thy name; thou art Mine.” Isa. 43:1…God never gives up His divine creation…God possesses man. He embraces man. He claims man as His own…God is not dispossessed of His perfect image…..No erring belief can separate Love and its expression….Man does not belong to imperfection. He is God’s.”

  2. Thanks so much for this important help and spiritual guidance to climb and see ourselves spiritually as the reflection of God.

  3. Thank you, Evan for the focusing on vision of Truth. I am
reminded of those “Magic Eye” pictures where it sometimes
seems like there is nothing there, but if one keeps focussing
on one spot (GOD’s perfection) – a three dimensional vision
appears. It has been there all along, but sometimes we are
so busy focussing on matter, the “real” is not seen.
