God can do it

If ever feeling stuck and stymied and lamenting a string of “I can’t do this” and “I can’t do that,” be quick to recognize the malpractice behind your admissions and replace them with something better.

Drop any sense of “I can’t,” and replace it with “God can!”

What you can’t do humanly, God can do spiritually.

God never comes up short.  God can do anything.

“With God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).

God can do it.  That’s enough to know.

  1. Perfect Evan, thank you!

I love the image you chose for today as well, a perfect reflection.

“From Love and from the light and harmony which are the abode of Spirit, only reflections of good can come” S&H 280:4

The capital letters for Love and Spirit denote synonyms for God.

The beautiful reflection above would not exist without the wonderful vista. Turn the picture upside down and it’s no less beautiful!

No matter the circumstances we find ourselves in, we can be certain we are not alone.

Much love and gratitude to, and for these SV insights.

    1. What a lovely image . I like what you say , Shelagh about “ turning the picture upside down “ whichever way you look at God’s universe it is always the same – perfect and beautiful

  2. My God is the head of the uiverse. He governs all nations.
Therefore, is the power. All other powers are an illusion.
Thank you Father for your goodness continually over yu
    our beloved children.

  3. This reminds me of Phil 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
    Thank you very much, Evan.

  4. This is something I particularly needed to hear this morning. I shall hold these thoughts with me throughout the day; I know they will sustain me. Thank you for all these wonderful inspirations, Evan and everyone who shares. What a blessed community!

  5. Here’s what God did for me today. I have a winter coat given to me because it was not possible to take the zip to the bottom and wear it without CLIMBING into it. I had taken it to someone for them to fix it – No joy. So after months of it sitting in my cupboard, I thought but GOD can do and following Intuition took a candle a slid it all down the zip and Low it parted like the red sea for Moses, so am now the owner of a coat I can wear!!!

    1. Thank you Dorothy. I always love hearing the creative ways problems get solved when we listen for God’s direction! Your experience made me think of James 2:17,18
      ——————
17 …faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18 ,,,shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

    2. Who would’a known, and THAT’S HOW YOU DO IT, because “GOD can do it”. You’ve brought up a solution that transcends the zipper on a “coat I couldn’t wear”, so I graciously THANK you Dorothy.

    1. Thank J for the wonderful article you shared today. It was very inspiring and goes perfectly with Evan’s theme of “ nothing is impossible to God”. So grateful for all the uplift given by Evan and the Spirtitview community!

        1. Thanks you J and Robert for sharing the transcript of this great lecture. I read it slowly. For me it was uplifting and increased my understanding of some basic CS principles, which is always a good thing. The more we understand God and CS, the more we understand our true nature and what is really going on within us and around us.

  6. Thank you Evan and all! A couple of weeks ago I was having a large pane of glass replaced in a window. I was responsible for removing the window trim on the outside of our house so when the glass company arrived, they could insert the pane of glass and then I would re-install the trim. The weather showed no rain so I removed the trim a few days ahead of time so I could determine if the framing had any rot. In previous times I’ve had glass replaced, I had to repair any rot before the rep. from the glass company would install the new glass pane. Repairing rotten wood can be a big job, so I was glad to see no rot. But the 2×4 the glass sat on wasn’t level and therefore only the right half of the existing pane of glass was supported and the left half was suspended in mid-air. I didn’t think the glass people would accept that, so for a few days prior to their arrival I tried to think of solutions. The obvious solution was to remove the 2×4 and re-install it so it was level, but doing that would require me to remove the bottom piece of trim on the inside of the house so I could remove and replace the 2×4. I thought I could do that fairly quickly, after the glass people had removed the existing pane of glass and while they were replacing glass in other windows. But in the middle of the night before they were to arrive, I woke up in the middle of the night and realized I would have to replace more trim on the inside in order to remove the 2 x 4 and I didn’t think I could do that in the time I would have. At that point worry decided on me full force. My thought raced in circles trying to come up with other solutions and I just couldn’t think of anything. A few hours went by and I knew I’d never get back to sleep due to how worried I was. All attempts to pray to quiet my thought were futile. But at one point I just made myself turn this issue over to God even though at that point no solution had presented itself. I decided I could trust God to provide a solution even if I couldn’t think of a solution myself. That quieted my thought and I was able to get back to sleep. In the morning before the glass people arrived, I thought of a way I could cut a wedge of wood using my table saw. I’d considered that the days before but just couldn’t think of a way to do that precisely (the wedge had to be 3′ long and 9/16″ on one end and 1/8″ on the other end to make a level surface). I cut the wedge and it came out perfectly. Then when the glass people arrived and I explained my plan they said “No need, we can just put some rubber spacers on one end.” LOL I had worried for nothing and I didn’t end up using my perfectly cut wedge, but I was happy for this demonstration anyway and hopefully I will remember it the next time worry descends on my full force like it did in this instance.

Worry ceases when we know God provides the intelligence that is always available to provide a solution to every problem.

  7. Wow…turn the picture upside down and it’s the same!!!! Thanks Shelagh for that inspiration to do that!!! God doesn’t change and neither do we as His/Her perfect refection….

Thank you Evan for your continuous inspirations! They are filled with joy and love.

Happy Thanksgiving, may we all be thankful every day for God’s goodness in our lives!

  8. Like the coat of many colours.. but the zipper trick is a wonderful add on. I found a Lands End Jacket at the Thrift and after wearing it for so long it is still the most comfortable coat. So adding pieces of a son’s Mexican hoodie, pieces of a Hudson Bay blanket.. There is a wider nationality occurring and Spirit.. It has some intricate lace work mixing in and the cuffs has segments of a silk scarf. Hand stitching, and someone passed bye walnuts that are still in my pocket like prayer beads they seem companionable friends. Creations creating Oneself…SpiritView ..Blesses All, thank you..

  9. God can, and God is all.

Mary Baker Eddy was reported to have pointed out to members of her household who would claim to be troubled by something, e.g. stomach ache, to add two words, “belief of”, to result in, belief of stomach ache.

ALL we ever are dealing with is a belief in matter.

The Scientific Statement of Being, clearly informs us all, There is no matter. Stop believing in matter and so-called reports of such, and what is left? Truth. God is all.

  10. Thankyou Evan, for the Spiritual message and Beautiful picture. also Spirit View family for your Inspirations. Wishing all a Blessed Thanksgiving . everyday is Thanksgiving! much Love.

  11. Part deux… I say that is the importance of the line, “Lead us not into temptation”…stop being wowed by shiney things that are a part of, and lead further to a myth-adventure.

  12. Thank you Evan for today’s SpiritView. I have to keep reminding myself that GOD CAN. I’ve changed this a little bit to read GOD DOES. God does know the answers and solutions to our seeming problems and can direct us.

Thank you to J for the lecture. I’ll study it tonight.

  13. It is very helpful reading all of the proofs of God’s power and presence
above and for the lecture that corresponds. Thank you Evan and All.
I would like to share an experience recently. I had a plumbing issue
where the water kept running and wasting water and causing the pump
to go on. I did what I could myself, cleaning off parts, etc. but couldn’t
think of anything else to do. In desperation, I decided to just turn the
water valve off each time, but that was a bit of a nuisance. I left it up to God’s
control, as with other expenses in gearing up for winter, calling a professional
was something not really wanting to do. I discovered that water had somehow
(God’s making possible) gone up to the water line, shutting off at the correct
spot, whereas before I, myself, was unable to get it where it needed to be.
It almost seemed like a miracle that this could take place, because the water valve
had been totally turned off, but yet water had been replaced. I was in awe (gratitude)
for this fixing of the problem and it has been working correctly ever since.
Thus proving, that with God, all things Are possible.
