God is with you

June 5, 2013 | 4 comments

A woman was explaining how she felt closed off from God’s presence. It felt like a door stood between her and divine Love, and there was no way to get through that door and find love again.

As I listened, I thought, “Aw, but God is on both sides of that door. God is with her now.”

Have you ever felt closed off from something good in your life, shut out, barred, or prevented from moving forward? It’s an illusion. You are never cut off from God’s presence. It’s impossible.

God is everywhere. There is no place, space or location you can be where God is not already there, greeting you with open arms and wanting to bless you.

You are as close to God as a circle is to being round. Don’t ever believe otherwise!

I can never escape from your Spirit!

I can never get away from your presence!

If I go up to heaven, you are there;

if I go down to the grave, you are there.

If I ride the wings of the morning,

if I dwell by the farthest oceans,

even there your hand will guide me,

and your strength will support me.

  1. Thank you, Evan! What you said reminds me of a comment my young son made a few months ago. I mentioned to him that the word “inseparable” was in the lesson many times that week, and that we’re inseparable from God. I asked him if he knew what “inseparable” means and he said, “Yeah. It means we can’t get God off of us!”

  2. “Aw, but God is on both sides of that door!” LOVE that, Evan. I realized that when I think about Mrs. Eddy’s statement:”Stand porter at the door of thought” I was accepting good on one side of the door, evil on the other. How clear this is to me after reading your blog that God is on both sides of the door…there is “no separation between my Lord and me and NO evil as REALITY. THANK YOU! Breakthrough!

  3. God is with me, you and every one in this whole universe of worlds, (Which, may I add, incorporating all of God’s creation.”) Only false belief will make us think or believe otherwise. I, You, We don’t have to believe in that belief!

  4. Two sides
    mortal thoughts – immortal thoughts
    public thoughts – private thoughts
    internal thought – external thoughts

    Need to stand porter on both sides – always
