With escalating fears and heightened alerts about the spread of Covid as another wave in many parts of the world today, it’s especially important to stay metaphysically clear that God governs our lives, not fears about Covid!
Covid is not a danger to the spiritually inspired thought, for thought reflecting the power and presence of God is immune to Covid and in no danger of suffering from it. But it is incumbent on each of us to stay spiritually alert to truth and not be subtly pulled in by the illusions of sense currently parading as truth to the public mind.
God governs our being, not Covid!
We are spiritual beings living spiritual lives endowed with spiritual health that is a permanent part of our being. This is our reality as a child of God. It is a fixed fact that no virus can threaten or endanger.
Understanding spiritual truth disarms and neutralizes material error. The seeming threat of a virus is material error. Neutralize it with Truth!
Stay clear on your spiritual reality. Know your status as a child of God. Resist any temptation to believe otherwise.
Stay spiritually minded and preserve your health.
God governs your being, never Covid.
I love “thought reflecting the power and presence of Godis immune” Evan…and we can include that immunity to much more than Covid fears. Immune to worry about the future, immune to lack, immune to lovelessness and homelessness. I have a friend who, due to a divorce settlement, has found herself owing half a million dollars. She is almost 70 and only working part-time but she KNOWS God is her abundance every moment and is continually thankful for every single thing in her life. As a result, she has been totally immune from financial worry or lack. She is careful with money but ideas have come to her from God that have covered her expenses from different avenues. Recently she said to me that she can’t get over how incredibly HAPPY and unburdened she feels even though on paper her situation appears drastic. Every day she actively strongly KNOWS she is under God’s protection and that her supply is constant…and so it has been for years and years against all odds. She is an inspiration to me!
Thanks for sharing your experience with your friend finding immunity from all evil and all forms of lack.. Personal experiences of God’s care really anchor Truth in our thought.

Thanks Diane – that’s inspirational! Just shows how making sure to keep our thought uplifted, and intentionally expressing & feeling gratitude (against all the odds) helps us to stay on an even keel, and actively encourages our expectation of good. I’m learning how vital it is to expect good, to claim it every day, even when humanly things look bleak. I’m also learning to be alert to the smallest of blessings along the way, which so often can appear to be co-incidence or just luck. I now acknowledge each one as God given, and give gratitude for God’s tender reassurance. In fact, I’ve started a gratitude journal, and write down even the smallest things, as it’s easy to forget the details after weeks have passed. I am now making sure to re-read them all regularly, as they serve as beacons of light to me when I’m having a day which isn’t so easy or feels gloomy. They are my encouragement and reassurance that God is always with us, even when we can’t feel his presence. Thank you again for posting this x
Thanks Diane for sharing the story of your friend. I loved knowing that she has such a wonderful childlike trust in God. She is a shining example to us all to lean on the “sustaining Infinite” completely. She is free and resting in God’s care. That is always the way.

It’s so important to stay focused on our spirituality as stated in the Scientific Statement of Being. Found on page 468 of the textbook Science and Health. This statement is most memorized by all students of Christian Science. And it’s correlative Bible verse I John 3:1-3.
And to constantly reafirm our immunity through the revelations of Christian Science. Our refuge in the storm of error.
Before he calmed the waters Jesus walked out on the waters to his decipals who were on a ship. Then when aboard the ship the waters were calmed. Why did he do that for surely he could have had an easier time on a still sea? He did it to show that man is superior to the boisterious waves of error and can control them, while still getting where he needs to be. Demonstrating control over the enviroment of mortal mind.
These waves are the beginning of the great calm, as we have learned in our studies, the aggravated state of error is an indication of it’s end.
Thank you for keeping us aware of our response to this wave of error. Not letting it impress us.
We shall obey and affirm God’s allness and the nothingness of waves of evil.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” Psalms 46:1, which Mary Baker Eddy quoted on page 444:11, found in our textbook Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
We will keep our minds full of Truth and Love, will continue our immunity and extend it to all.

Thank you Evan! I found myself faced with this very need to overcome an imposed thought of COVID. When visiting my sister to help prepare her home for an appraisal, she spoke extensively of COVID and exposure since she works at a respiratory therapist at a hospital. Soon enough, I felt myself weaken and get flu like symptoms. I went to the bathroom and just declared the Truth, that I could not be sick from coming down and helping her. I worked to steer the conversation toward other topics as we chatted and even spoke of the reality of our spiritual being that could not be harmed. When she left for work, I focused on the task of cleaning her home and sings hymns in my heart. Eventually the symptoms lifted and I was free from the fear and mesmerism that had taken hold. I was so grateful to God and CS for giving us the tools to handle these situations. Thank you again for the persistent metaphysical work you do Evan to support us.
When on a walk with my dog one afternoon- I had the thought of adding the letter “n” to covid to read con-vid. It was so helpful because I know a con is someone trying to fool me/us. I went home and looked up con and again- and of course- I found Christian Science to the rescue- it is so helpful and healing.
Con defined: 1. persuade (someone) to do or believe something, typically by use of a deception.
“I conned him into giving me your home number”
2. an instance of deceiving or tricking someone.
“a con artist”
I am grateful foe the healing power of Christian Science to see that covid and dis-ease in any form is a con artist. I am given exactly what I need at each moment if I am willing to listen/receive angel messages. Thank you Evan, for your daily spiritual healing messages and everyone that gathers here. I read all of the comments and often read articles posted too. It is a wonderful example of church- a sound structure for Truth and Love to be revealed in my thoughts-and supporting the leavening the lump of my thought and all of us.

I am very grateful for your so wonderfully clear, needed and very helpful spiritual views on present occurances.
In this week’s lesson sermon in the third paragraph we have a simple but profound truth sentence, i. e. “God is the only power!” And that is also permanent and fixed – so cmforting!
Either I read it or I got the following idea – both is a helpful idea from divine Mind.
And that is, that “immunity” against everything which is not good, not from God, is a spiritual quality from God, just as love or gratitude, and therefore also built in us and permanent. That helped me today.
