Have you ever gotten upset by actions of a neighbor?

In this vlog I share how prayer and love resolved a point of contention with a neighbor in my community.

  1. Wow, what a great example of healing something that seemed so ridged and solid.. even the neighbor’s thought seemed stubborn and fixed..

Love certainly had the upper hand in this situation and “rolled the stone away”.

  2. Oh this is great Evan. I have been dealing with neighbour issues myself, and love how divine Mind defused the mortal sense of neighbourhood activity.

  3. Thank you Evan. Great testimony.Love is felt in a neighbourhood where we watch over its activities through prayers.

  4. Wow! I have a contention with our local post office that does not deliver in Cannon Beach and sends packages back to sender if not picked up in 2 weeks. My daughter recently visited after not seeing her for 3 yrs because of covid and I forgot to go to the post office. Yup! 2 packages were sent back. Here I am up in the middle of the night worried about this issue until reading Spirit View. What to do? PRAY!!! Now I am knowing that Divine Mind controls all my packages and they each have a rightful place! And Mind controls the workings of our post office, too!
And my memory!! All is under Divine control.

  5. A great vlog and message, Evan, and great laughs too. Your shared experience proves how a prayer with a mental and humor-filled attitude with outward kindness brings positive, healing results. Thank you!

  6. Wow!! So good to hear the vlog this morning. I also have some thought about my neighbor and her insensitivity regarding dogs. I have been trying thru this all to keep a loving attitude about her true nature as a spiritual being. Thank you so much.

  7. So prefect for me as we are dealing with a similar problem in our neighborhood. I’ll definitely apply the spiritual truths you’ve shared here.

  8. Thank you!

I shared “ONE KIND THOUGHT AT A TIME. PLEASE”

After seeing snarky comments in my community about issues concerning the hurricane causing havoc presently.

The linemen need to be safe and work getting power back up in a timely fashion….
    And many other issues.
    Indeed, PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE

  9. What a Beautiful setting to share such a wonderful vlog, Evan.
Thank you! I remember a time when former neighbors were
an issue and one particular time, asking nicely of this gentleman
to please not allow his sons to throw rocks over to my lawn. I
had been praying over the situation of noise, arrogance, selfishness
and other issues that were very disruptive to harmony and peace.
He became very heated and angrily stated, “Well, My sons can do
No Wrong!” and strutted away. Somehow the words came to me
and I said, “And God loves you, Too!”. I was rather shocked at these
words, because I was feeling put down at that exchange, but it
settled my thought with such calmness, I Really felt it and I think he
did, too. I just didn’t know what else to say and it diffused the
situation and let him know I wasn’t afraid to stand up to the bully
he was seeming to be. Although I had a lot more praying to do
in seeing the sons as ‘God’s’ children, the father did respect me
    more after that incident.

  10. So grateful for this post Evan, and for all related testimonies and comments. I loved the way Evan put it, that the divine Mind keeps every right idea in its right place. A good gardener once told me that “a weed is any plant that is not in the right place for it.” So a “right” idea in a wrong place is not really a right idea! And all-knowing God would never, could never have an idea without it including in itself its right place! I can think of infinitely intelligent, all-powerful divine Love tending to Her garden of right ideas to keep them in “Soul-ly” harmonious order. And the knowledge of a right idea automatically excludes all wrong notions about it. Then divine Mind keeping every right idea in its right place in His Universal “neighborhood” (where all ideas are neigh to Him) can and must apply to all so-called “powerful” people being in their right place (doing their right activitiy), to weather elements, to food, to insects, pets, other animals, and truly every one, every thought, every thing! So grateful for this community of right ideas, love to all.

  11. Evan I loved hearing the story of how you applied prayer to see a higher, truer view of the situation. I could feel your joy as you were recounting it. Thanks for being a great example to us of how every situation can be approached spiritually, and that we can let go and be patient and peaceful, having turned things over to Truth.

  12. As always, a wonderful vlog, wonderfully told. There are for me multiple lessons in this experience. The main of course is that an attitude of love and patience will resolve a situation that harsh words, or actions will only make worse. Another is not to decide what is best for someone else to do and then make it a personal mission or silently standby while others make it their mission to force a solution by whatever means necessary. We do not have the personal (or collective) wisdom to know what is best for our neighborhoods, country, climate, or other folk’s health care choices to force undemocratically derived solutions; let human government pattern the divine – Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.

  13. Thanks Evan for sharing your neighborhood healing. It is inspiration to all of us. Thanks everyone for your shared thoughts, too. Love SpiritView for its many uplifting comments by everyone.

  14. Evan, I am very grateful for your testimony that resolved a neighborhood issue. This is timely for me since I have been troubled by a “neighbor” action (not a neighbor in the mortal context, but our local port commission). Your vlog has given me exactly what I needed to hear this morning as to how to pray about how to approach this. Plus, it reinforces the messages in this week’s Bible Lesson on unreality.

  15. Comment for RH from Focus on the Eternal. Thanks for your post. I, too , give up on CS off and on but end up going back to it. I keep hoping healing is just around the corner so do not want to quit too soon. Your post will keep me perservering.

    1. Thank you Ruth. I’m 100% convinced that CS works if correctly applied. It’s just that CS is different from material science and I think that trips us up sometimes. For example, if you’re having a problem with your leg, materiality would say you have to do something to the leg to fix it. But resolving that through CS might involve praying for a better understanding that God’s MANifestation is always at peace, or knowing that God’s reflection can never be abused or experience trauma, or understanding that God’s ideas are always in their right place (like in Evan’s example), etc. I mentioned in my comment yesterday that people that are in a hypnotic state don’t know it, so they don’t do anything about it. But Christian Scientists can detect when they are entertaining hypnotic suggestions because Mrs. Eddy shows us what is true in S&H and with her key to correctly getting the spiritual sense of the Bible. So anytime you detect you are entertaining untrue beliefs you can pray to correct those with the truth. And if you do that, caring more about just adoring God and wanting to keep your thought aligned with God, versus doing that to benefit yourself in some way, I GUARANTEE you will see more harmony reflected in your experience. Much love to you and to all the readers of SpiritView!

  16. Thank you very much Evan, I love your Vlogs, as they are all so lively and healing!
That is a wonderful, divinely natural demonstration of God’s Love to us all. It’s a lovely demonstration of the sure effectiveness if the divine Truth!
I also had a problem with a direct neighbor. She sat on her terrasse smoking and chatting with a deep loud voice every day for an hour several times a day. It was very disturbing as it was the time where several neighbors worked at home in “homeoffice”. A friend proposed to pray that I live in a neighborhood of Love. I did so for sometime. I got peaceful and this woman moved away later. The truth was affirmed which has always a healing and blessing effect for that woman and for the whole neighborhood.
Thanks all for your inspired and inspiring comments.
Evan, your Vlogs at a river and now at the ocean side are so refreshing, thanks for it!♡

    1. Thank you Uta for sharing your experience with your neighbor and how things resolved. I appreciate all the other comments too.

What a treat this morning to see a Vlog with beautiful scenery of the Pacific Ocean. Thank you Evan for sharing your experience – it was very inspiring!

  17. Thank you. You have reminded me that we do not save prayer for the so called big issues but prayer for all issues no matter how seemingly small is an opportunity to spiritualize thought. Isn’t that going about our Father’s business?

  18. We live in a rural area where houses are not close together and there are many trees. We don’t have window blinds on the side elevation of our house. A few nights ago we noticed a new light on the side of our neighbor’s house. It was huge with no shielding and shining in all our windows on that side of the house. My husband was very angry. These were new neighbors from “the city” who obviously didn’t know about our town’s light shielding regulations. At first I thought we were going to have to have a talk with the neighbors which I did not want to do. Then I remembered this Spirit View post and listened to it again. From God’s view I saw that the light was for security and safety, and that these were right ideas of God. That meant they were for everybody and the thought from this post was that there could be no winners and losers on this issue. The light couldn’t be in the wrong place or on at the wrong time. My prayer also expanded to other businesses in our area having trouble with neighbors complaining about their lights. The light stayed on all night and then all the next day. The next night it was off and hasn’t been on since. The thought came that the switch was left on by mistake. At first I was sorry my husband had not had a kind and peaceful reaction like Evan’s neighbors. But I realized that was part of my spiritual misconception and knew God’s peace and kindness permeated our home and all the relations of everybody in the neighborhood. Nothing more has been said about it, like it never happened. I’m so grateful for this helpful blog.
