Humility gets you out of the way

“Humility does not mean thinking less of yourself than of other people, nor does it mean having a low opinion of your own gifts. It means freedom from thinking about yourself at all.”

  1. This is a gem! Thanks so much for sharing this and all of your wonderful inspiration everyday.

  2. Putting God First…..or “Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven…..” What is Man? The Reflection, Image and Likeness of God! Do I have a separate identity outside of God? Thanks, Evan and William Temple!

  3. I often find words I was raised on – like meekness, humility, even reflection – still carry a stain of duality and separation for me so I often choose different words that are more meaningful for me n their true sense. Knowing I am a reproduction of Divine Spirit, a perfect individualization (undivided) of Universal Life and Love – like a perfect spark of fire having the full nature of fire in me – the idea of self takes on a whole new form of power.

  4. I just want to “sneak” this in, now that it’s the weekend and probably no one will read this….. I have just come to the realization that instead of denying myself, I need to actually recover and reclaim my True Self. The self that had to go underground, the self that got lost and covered over with mud, the child who got so squelched so early in life. For this child the most important thing is to find herself as she was created by God – the way God created me, Precious and Free! I need to stop pretending that I’m on a spiritual cloud and that I am spiritually mature enough to be able to overcome my human self and just always see myself as God’s spiritual idea. I never really got to be my true human self, so how can I get rid of an ego I never got to develop…..??
