Improve tomorrow

Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future.

~ Paul Boese

So often people mistakenly believe forgiveness is about the other person. But it rarely is. It’s about us.
It’s so important to forgive because if we don’t, we harbor ill-will, resentment, anger and hatred. These destroy health, happiness and wellness. They are enemies to our own progress and success.
To be free, we have to forgive. We have to dissolve the grudge, complaint or ire with love. And then true freedom from suffering is found.
Forgiveness does not overlook or ignore evil. It spares us from it.
Yesterday may not change, but tomorrow can be so much better!

  1. Nice.

    Very shareable.

Includes forgiving self — the self that may not have done things up to par yesterday but that so desires to do better tomorrow.

  2. Forgiving self is the biggest challenge. Self will, self justification and self love are constant antagonists, and the biggest obstacles to forgiveness and harmony, at least to me.
