A woman of senior years, and an avid student of Christian Science, was chatting with a neighbor about activities planned for the week. This woman planned to hike in the hills and complete several tasks that were physically demanding. The neighbor was astounded to hear how active and capable this woman was at her advanced age. “How do you do all that?” she wanted to know.
This woman told me the above story, expressing gratitude for being able to stay so physically active, but wondered if she needed a more spiritual view of health to keep herself from going physically downhill. I agreed.
“Be sure to see the spiritual reason behind good health in whatever you do,” I replied.
“Know that you can run up and down hills with ease because God gives you the strength to do it. Don’t give the credit to matter, which will eventually fail you. Give all the credit to Spirit, which will forever support you.”
And so it is with all aspects of health. The clearer you are that Spirit is the source of everything you do, the easier it is to feel the Holy Spirit moving you forward with ease, grace, and dominion. Good health!
Love this to start my study today Evan . Thank you so much.
Whatever good we feel and are grateful for today …or any day…we mustn’t forget the source of all our happiness and freedom. It’s spiritual understanding that needs constant exercise ! ( perchance my legs may follow !)……

My Top 10 Citations from the Aug. 24 CS Bible Lesson on Mind (Part 1)
-Romans 12:2 … be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
-Mark 12:29 … The Lord our God is one Lord.
-Matthew 19:26 … with God all things are possible.
-S&H 209: 5-8 … Mind, supreme over all its formations and governing them all, is the central sun of its own systems of ideas, the life and light of all its own vast creation; and man is tributary to divine Mind.
-S&H 124:20 … Adhesion, cohesion, and attraction are properties of Mind. They belong to divine Principle, and support the equipoise of that thought-force, which launched the earth in its orbit and said to the proud wave, “Thus far and no farther.”
Mind is my favorite synonym for God. Thank you for sharing these Mark/IL! 🙂
Thank you Mark and Evan!
Thank you, Evan. “Give all the credit to Spirit, which will forever support you.” Forever! That’s a promise worth trusting. Nothing else promises forever. Deep thanks.

Another great post. Thank you Evan thanks to the commenters.
Love this! Thanks Evan and everyone. ❣️
Thank you, Evan.
Thanks to all. “All harmonious action proceeds from Mind.”
Spiritual reasoning in thought and action is like rising above the
mortal on angel wings of Truth and Love. Thank you, Evan and all,
for these inspiring angel (Mrs. Eddy’s definition – ” God’s thoughts
passing to man; spiritual intuitions, pure and perfect; the inspiration
of goodness, purity, and immortality, counteracting all evil,
sensuality and mortality”) thoughts to help navigate us through the
day, week and beyond, into eternity, for that is where spiritual
thinking leads us. (The Monitor article was also very inspirational …
Thank you, J and Evan, both for sharing it).
Divine Principle, the first synonym in Science and Health, is perpetual, ageless and absolute without the any flaw – eacjh synonym expresses eternal perfection of Principle. I wondered why MBE gave us Priniple as the first synonym and then realized that it defines the omnipotence of each of he following synonyms. WOW what a beautiful insight and it clarified why Life has no birth or death – it is an eternal truth of Principle. Then I examined each synonym and my thought opened to understand the universe including man which is a compound idea of Principle including man. Each synonym is an absolute.perpetual, spiritual truth which Jesus beheld in Science. We must not conform our thought to the mortal picture but be transformed to the beauty and perfection of Principle in everything we behold.
Very timely Evan…thanks.
This is so perfect! Thank you Barbara UK.

This is a wonderful way to express how what we learn in Christian Science–teach in Sunday School and live it in our daily life is put into action and benefits all mankind! Its going on my bulletin board for a daily reminder for sure! Thanks all for sharing in so many ways! This unites us all in seeing how spiritual sense works and is embedded in our daily prayers and actions.
