Knowing God heals anxiety

October 9, 2020 | 36 comments

If you’d like to rid your life of anxiety, there is a way to do it. Know God better!

When you know God, anxiety vanishes for with God there isn’t anything to be anxious about.

God is predictable good. Like the earth keeps turning whether you think about it or not, God keeps being good no matter what you’re doing.

God’s good is always present to bless you, support you, keep you in a good place and ensure your progress.

When you are conscious of God’s omnipresent good, fear of evil goes away, for you can’t be thinking about how good God is and dwelling on evil at the same time. One wipes out the other. Focus on the good and prosper!

God is an all-knowing Mind that feeds you wise ideas to act on. As you listen to Mind, you’ll know what to do for the best results. God’s ideas lead you to good places and happy outcomes.

There is no uncertainty with God, no reason to worry, no source of anxiety.

God is the Rock of your Life, the foundation of your being, the source of your supply, the provider of your health, and protector of your good. With God, you have only good to expect, health to reflect, and safety to enjoy.

There is nothing to fear with God because evil has no power with God. Evil becomes as nothing to the God-inspired consciousness.

A consciousness of God’s omnipresence and omnipotence heals anxiety.

Live worry free today. Say “Goodbye,” to anxiety and welcome the peace of knowing God into your life. It’s the happier way to live.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done” (Phil. 4:6, NLT).

  1. So grateful for this post/treatment Evan, thank you, thank you so much ! A great “worry free” day to the Spirit view friends.

  2. Up early this morning and so grateful to read this first thing. After being accused of being “anti-social” yesterday, I found myself wanting to be upset by the accusation first thing after praying last night and having a good night’s sleep.
So often what people want to have conversations about are simply not of interest to me. I find my time is better spent with God and thoughts that uplift me.
In the past I was more open to hearing other people’s opinions and for years I now know it caused me anxiety.
Thank you Evan for this reassurance. I am always grateful to come here and read the comments a couple of times throughout my day.

    1. I’m sorry you’ve experienced “name calling” with a label-antisocial. I work at a school- and choose to not eat with the others- because I need to mind my own business and not get involved in talking about others. I choose to stay out of the “drama” that is not my business. My business is doing good and working for God. Some may view me as antisocial- but really I am not- it is a conscious choice that I make- and I know with God- He/She plus me/you is the majority. 🙂 And rather than being alone (We can add an “L” and separate the word to) all one- with God.

At times-my hubby and son make fun of me for my beliefs in Science- I am working to be steadfast and strong and love them more for “cursing me.” I think of it as bearing the cross- perhaps you too are experiencing evidence of bearing the cross?

“The eagle does not escape the storm. The eagle simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It spreads its mighty wings and rises on the winds that bring the storm. “
Thank you Evan for your daily post- it is part of my morning routine- working to fill my thoughts with God/good so nothing else can take root in my thought. Thank you for the community that shares as well- very meaningful ideas help to uplift me.

      1. Keep up the good work, Christi! We’re not here to con-form but to “renew our mind” which blesses all! Love the quote you shared about the eagle. I can definitely attest to the value of growing spiritually, by diving deeply into attaining a closer relationship to God because of what the world would call tragedies. True peace and joy are the result.
Much love to all in this beloved community!

      2. Thanks Christi. Lovely post addressing Susan’s concern. The eagle analogy is perfect. Bless you for your steadfastness. I’m sure God Is pleased. And he’s the only one we need to please.

    2. Susan, I also wrestle at times with whether or not to get involved in idle talk or unnecessary/negative or gossipy conversations. On one hand I want to be kind and friendly to people, on the other hand it’s not good for anyone’s consciousness if I add to the negativity. I try to pray for them, to know that God’s children can only focus on good thoughts because they have the Mind of God and can only reflect Him/Her.

Your peace is undisturbed, as it is provided by God without interruption.

  3. Sometimes I wonder how you know what my immediate need is Evan! But, why should I think that when there is the all knowing Mind forever protecting me!
Today I took a call from one of my sons who is moving nearby but has come up against some complications to overcome. First thought..stress…how will we accommodate all his furniture, belongings etc…second thought…read Spirit View to get Gods perspective….and guess what? I find a treatment to banish the stress! Wonderful. I’m so grateful for today and everyday. With Gods help there is nothing that can’t be resolved. ❣️

  4. Being prayerful is nev-er anti-social. It is rather being “pro-social”. Lifting world thought and healing is holy work and happy work and needful work. And still, we have time to smile the Smile of Spirit. BTW, love this community and am so grateful for it every morning. Yay, God !

      1. And we all have the opportunity to always express love to those when we see them.
It’s hard when your close friends just want to talk about their anxiety and concerns. All you need to do is listen and love. Love to all of you.

  5. Thank you SO much! I’m going through home renovations ahead, and needed that guidance in finding the right people, and outcomes, to help me!

  6. To Barbara – Here’s my ‘moving’ prayer from Acts. For in Him we live, and MOVE, and have our being. When we trust in God, all must be harmonious and stress free. Hymn 50 tells us:
Drop Thy still dews of quietness,
    Till all our strivings cease;
Take from us now the strain and stress,
And let our ordered lives confess
    The beauty of Thy peace.

    1. That’s so loving of you Bonnie! I remembered one of those lines and now know the hymn number to refer to. It’s so comforting to embrace the views and enlightenment found here with you all on SV.❣️

  7. There are so many good ideas this morning (as always!)
To Susan & Christi: i think if we turn our loving faces & voices towards those who question or accuse us, remain steadfastly in the quiet place provided by our Still Voice, Omnipresent Love, we stay safely in the sanctuary of God. I’ve found that not reacting–as I’m sure you both know–those protesting our vigilant stand to remain impassive will eventually accept and admire our position of not being drawn in or interacting with discussions of illnesses & woes (everyone’s favorite topic.) I’m not concerned with anyone else’s opinion.
I appreciate Bonnie’s addition, too, and love Hymn 50’s soothing message!!!
    LOVE to you ALL!

  8. Thank you for today’s message Evan, it encompasses so much that we all need right now.

I love, “God is predictable good. Like the earth keeps turning whether you think about it or not, God keeps being good no matter what you’re doing.” We don’t have to and can’t do anything to make these truths be true, but we can become more conscious of what is always true.

I pray to know that everyone, everywhere can know these facts, in a deep way. Nothing can keep God’s children from their good (their God).

  9. Love the photo of the woman hugging herself! She is feeling contentment and God’s tender care.

  10. Today’s very timely vlog am sure helps us all. After being told that I
Was “at risk” as a loving reminder to be diligent in following guidelines
Put out by Health Officials. I realized that this zGod’S children are never at
Risk but are alvways protected and loved. Your comments today as so supportive an d I am grateful to Spiritview ,,Evan and all contributing. Thanks y

  11. WOW! Spirit View! Of course! View from Heaven!
So very grateful for you, Evan, and for this whole community!
    Rejoicing!
    Much love to all.

  12. What a wonderful post and treatment on anxiety, Evan! Thank you so much for this and all the other wonderful lessons you cover in Spirit View…I also have enjoyed reading everyone’s great comments today! Thank you all!

  13. Just had to add this hymn. It is always so helpful when anxiety tries to creep in.
    Hymn #154-156

In Thee, O Spirit true and tender, I find my life as God’s own child; within Thy light of glorious splendor I lose the earth-clouds drear and wild.

Within Thy love is safe abiding From every thought that giveth fear; Within Thy Truth a perfect chiding, Should I forget that Thou art near.

In Thee I have no pain or sorrow, No anxious thought, no load of care. Thou art the same today, tomorrow; Thy love and truth are everywhere.

  14. Relating to yesterday’s blog, many thanks Brian for your suggestions. I don’t have any icons at the top of my screen just search items such as Google, Inbox, Facebook etc. I had the same problem with the link to another article. Once in awhile I get a small magnifing glass icon, It’s at the top of my SpiritView screen and I increased to 150% but it just worked for SpiritView not either of the articles.
Now to today;s blog, I want to thank Susan and Christi for sharing their experiences which mirror mine when I was still in the work force. I usually just had my lunch at my desk where I could be observed reading.

  15. ‘It matters not what be thy lot,
    So Love doth guide;
For storm or shine, pure peace is thine,
    Whate’er betide.

And of these stones, or tyrants’ thrones,
    God able is
To raise up seed -in thought and deed-
    To faithful His.

Aye, darkling sense, arise, go hence!
    Our God is good.
False fears are foes -truth tatters those,
    When understood.

Love looseth thee, and lifteth me,
    Ayont hate’s thrall:
There Life is light, and wisdom might,
    And God is All.

The centuries break, the earth-bound wake,
    God’s glorified!
Who doth His will -His likeness still-
    Is satisfied.’
    [Hymn 160, Mrs Eddy]

  16. EVAN, much gratitude for SpiritView. Christi & Susan & all fellow readers, thank you for your specific sharing. I, too, lunch & play bridge with many who need to share…not good, but worries & anxiety. I do have one medically-minded friend who listens & lifts her thought & thanks me for it. “ Just a cup of cold water, not a bucket!”
You all are my first stop off each morning & my place to return, during the day.
Blessings to us all, the earth spins, gravity interacts, oxygen is available, & God, good, IS!

  17. Thank you very very much Evan for this utmost helpful treatment.
You are making us acquainted with our dear and loving Father-Mother God!
Yes, to know of God`s omnipresence and omnipotence and His omniacting is very comforting and should rid us of any fear. For my part I would say, that working, watching and praying and listening to Truth leads me to understand our God better and better.
Am so grateful to you, Evan for your healing and helping SpiritView blog!
And also thank you all for your wonderful comments!

    1. Wow! Angie! So grateful for this article. And every one of us is the CHILD of God, no matter the seeming age, so the truth of our innocence and purity and receptivity to good stands for us ALL. The tenor of the treatment’s completeness dovetails beautifully with the completeness of Evan’s declarations today. So grateful for all the beautiful, loving thinking that is shared on this Christly blog and comment stream!

    2. Thank you Angie for that article showing us the power of divine Love. So interesting, how the schoolteacher worked and prayed christian scientifically that a seemingly stubborn pupil became a disciplined and intelligently agitating child as a child of God!
What a lovely foto up here – could hug her – haha very nice!
