Let God figure it out

When you can’t figure it out humanly, let God figure it out spiritually. It’s much easier that way.

  1. Dear Evan, how grateful I am for these meaningful two sentences. It is freeing me from seemingly burdenful thinking. Actually there is nothing burdenful for God`s children, as in divine reality we reflect God`s doing in our daily errands effortlessly. Am very grateful for SV and CS! 🙂

  2. Great reminder! Sometimes I think, I feel like I have the solve everything! But I need to just need to turn to God and let it unfold by listening for His direction! Many times I get in the way of listening. Thank you!

    1. That’s a good question Mary. I think the tendency is for human mind to always want to jump in first. For some things that is fine, it has it’s place. But the minute something starts to seem confusing, discordant or troubling in any way that is the red flag to look up to the Source of all Truth and good, let go, and as Evan says, “Let God figure it out spiritually.” Ahhh what a relief.

Evan I love today’s photo; that would be my dream sun room/sanctuary, sitting there filled with the peace and ease of Being. Enjoying the eternal moment.

  3. A very timely reminder. I really needed it today. Thank you, Evan, for your always helpful and inspiring blogs. And thanks to all the responders.

  4. There was a comedian years ago one of whose catchphrases was
“The answer lies in the soil”. That was a joke, and is still a joke.
We learn in Christian Science that by looking to the so-called material senses
is like enquiring in the so-called realm of Adam – what Mrs Eddy calls the
Adam dream, and can help us not one jot, but leads us in the wrong direction.
A dream has no mind, no intelligence, so we can see that it is not wise to look
in that direction for answers to our problems. Even well-intentioned human
opinions, however well-intentioned, are not foolproof and can lead us astray.
The human must pattern the Divine, So the spiritual facts must be gained first,
and the human reflects these facts,.

“ Mrs. Eddy tells us that “If we look to the body (or dust or matter) for pleasure, we find pain; for Life, we find death; for Truth, we find error; for Spirit, we find its opposite, matter. Now reverse this action. Look away from the body (the dust, the Adam dream) into Truth and Love, the Principle of all happiness, harmony, and immortality. Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts.”
    (SH 260:31

So if we follow this advice, we will find the answers to all our problems, and
the human answers will appear as we are appealing to Truth, Christ, for help.
How grateful we should be to Mary Baker Eddy for sharing her wonderful
discovery with us. By following the teachings of Christian Science, we are
always led upward and onward safely.

Love and blessings to all, I look forward to hearing more inspiration.

  5. Thank you Evan for today’s post. A timely message for me today..a distant family member is trying to deprive my sister & self of the property bequeathed to us by our mother! I will let God figure it out! He is our Judge and He will give us all justice as there’s Only the Christ Mind present!

  6. Yes thanks so much! Seems to be quite a challenging set of circumstances, and no idea what the solution or outcome will be myself. No human aide that seems able to help, apparently, even when promised, or at least implied now it appears. Knowing there must be an answer since God is Good. Trusting in the Lord with all my heart….. Expecting good from God great Love.

  7. It’s as though you take a problem to the office in a large building and find at reception the response: that’s not handled at this level; you have to go upstairs to get authority for resolution. It’s handled there.

  8. A prayer I like to pray is, “God, I don’t know but I know You know, and that’s all I need to know, because I know You know everything. Thank You!”

This prayer is always answered : >)

  9. Today’s inspiring message and photo and all the wonderful
comments remind me of being in an oasis, filled with lovely
plants and flowers, so naturally peaceful with God in control.
“Jesus once said, ‘Take no thought for your life, what ye shall
eat, or what ye shall drink,’-presuming not on the prerogative
of his creator, but recognizing God, the Father and Mother of
all, as able to feed and clothe man as He doth the lilies.”
    (S&H:530: 7-12)
Harmony’s soothing article (Thank you!) and the flowers mentioned,
remind me that we can not force flowers to open. They do so with
the nurturing, timing and care of God’s direction and patient Love.
There was a very trying time in my life where I was going through,
and it Seemed, with every possible evil being thrown at me and
things were so unsettling and inharmonious. New neighbors were
loud and obnoxious, financial and the sense of home and
everything I knew, mortally, was threatened to be taken away from
me. I had no other place to turn but to wholeheartedly turn to God.
Very long story, short, if we, with patience and understanding pray for
and accept God’s will, things do work out for all who Love and
cherish all that we are blessed with and rightfully deserve.

  10. Thank you, Harmony for the link to the article “The Mind of Christ”
which I found helpful, especially “As we become still and wait on God, we will hear the Christ, voicing Mind’s all-powerful, healing truth. Our acceptance of this fact will surely manifest itself in healing.”

  11. Thank you, Harmony, for the link to the article “The Mind of Christ”, which I found helpful, especially “As we become still and wait on God, we will hear the Christ, voicing Mind’s all-powerful, healing truth. Our acceptance of this fact will surely manifest itself in healing.”

  12. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3: 5-6

  13. Thanks Evan, and great comments everyone! This brought to thought a situation in which extended family members were demanding support for multiple problems from other family members. Stepping back from the tumult and drama has caused what appears to be an irreparable divide in the family. I’ve been praying to see that everyone is not a separate, human ego or difficult personality, but instead, as the article that Harmony posted states, “the one infinite Mind is controlling all in perfect harmony.” I found the article below also very helpful. Instead of trying to resolve an issue, it says: “Sometimes we may try too hard to fix what appears to be broken. If that happens, it may be time to step back and allow divine Love to do its work. Acknowledge that everyone has their own angels—their own inspired messages from God—and can hear them in the way that they can understand.”

    1. I love this article and its reference to Music. Great subject Evan. All comments are helpful.:)

      1. I like where she says “PEACEMAKER: Being a peacemaker does not mean that we carry the burden of creating peace in our family. It is to be at peace in your own thought, knowing that affection and virtue are the natural outcome of listening for God’s direction. you are not responsible for anyone’s happiness, but your responsibility is to know God is the Father-Mother of all, and that He is all-harmonious. Peace comes through this knowing.”

        1. I like this too Jane b. Instead of feeling burdened and imposed upon, it’s seeing that we are all God’s children and that God’s law of harmony is all that is – and has been – going on in all of our relationships.

    2. This article and also the audio chat within, Dear J , is so simply
wonderful in it’s message and comforting delivery. Truly Lovely and
so well expressed and healing in thought. Thank you for sharing.
In my own experience, all that I had Seemingly gone through, came
to a point on a day when finally all was settled, where the person
who was so seemingly entrenched in making things miserable,
came up and said I had two choices, either to part ways forever or
to be amicable. My first reaction in “human” mortal mind thought,
was one of “Amicable? after all of that?? You have Got to be
kidding me”, but of course, seeing everyone as God sees them,
was the only choice to really have and throughout the years, it has
proven to be peaceful and although distant, mutually beneficial in
      some ways.
Friends and even his own family members thought I was foolish
for forgiving and although I tried to help convince them to,
some never did, but to hold a grudge is not conducive to anything
good. (It all worked out with God’s guidance where even my lawyer,
who had become pregnant and had even had her baby, and had
stopped working, continued on in keeping me as a client until the end
~ something I was the only one whom she had done that for.) Also,
she had gone to another county, to see it through, that she would
normally not have done, so harmony prevailed on every aspect.
God IS Good. Trusting in God’s plan and as Evan wrote, “let God
figure it out, spiritually” is really the only way to go.
(Sorry this is so long, but my gratitude is abundant, too).

      1. Thank you Carol. I am always interested to hear the many unexpected ways God can resolve issues, so thanks for including the details of your testimony!!!

        1. Thank You, RH. As a sidenote … This same person who tried
to have what was rightfully mine (home) taken from me,
actually helped me move some of the larger items from there
at a later time, very peacefully and graciously, to where
I am now. I never thought in a million years That would ever
happen when I was going through that seeming nightmare
scenario, previously. Shared customers at the time also
continued, So God provided my income and strength to
carry on throughout the whole seeming mortal mind ordeal.
Things Do work out with God’s angel thoughts
always by our side no matter what the difficulty Seems
          to be.

          1. Thank you very much, Carol! It is very inspiring and uplifting for me to read your wonderful testimony, glorifying God with it! It`s great!

  14. A verse from hymn 306
Shepherd, show me how to go
    O’er the hillside steep,
How to gather, how to sow,—
    How to feed Thy sheep;
I will listen for Thy voice,
    Lest my footsteps stray;
    I will follow and rejoice
    All the rugged way.

So many times when we follow …we then rejoice❣️

  15. Thank you Evan and all. Thanks to those who have shared these beautiful articles with us.
The last stanza of hymn 201 says it all.
    Then open wide your heart
    To Truth and Light and Love;
You then shall know your life is hid
    With Christ in God above.
