Let Your Light Shine

Jesus cried, “Let your light shine!” He expected his followers to be bright lights to the world sharing truth and love that helped and healed neighbors.

Is your light shining bright today? It is. Or, oops, maybe you didn’t know that!

There are perhaps times when you don’t feel like a bright light at all. Maybe you are uninspired, depressed, discouraged, or ill. Life might feel like a dark hole. But the truth is that your light is still shining bright!

Christ is your light. And Christ is always shining bright.

When you are discouraged, that doesn’t mean your light has gone out. It means the carnal mind is trying to put a bushel over it and keep it hidden. The purpose of prayer is to get your thought back into harmony with Truth so that you can topple that bushel off and let your light be seen again.

Christ is your spiritual individuality. Christ is everything good about you. Christ is your true identity made in the likeness of God that is perfect, whole and complete. You never lose Christ. You never lose who you are in God’s likeness. You never lose your light!

The “bushels” of mortal mind that would hide your light are woe-me attitudes, resentment, ingratitude, selfishness, lack of forgiveness, self-pity, pride, belief in disease, and indulgence of fear. None of these are part of who you are. None of these reside in you. None of them can put out your light. None of them touch Christ. Your light shines on bright no matter what mortal mind argues or would impose on you.

So, don’t ever believe you’ve lost your light. You have not. You always have Christ. And Christ is your light.

When life is looking dark, turn to your light and let it fill your thought with inspiration and healing truth. The bushels of error will dissolve, and you’ll start feeling like your normal happy self again.

God created you a bright light that never loses it glow.

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16, NKJV.

  1. Thanks Evan just what I needed today. You are right on. I really enjoy Spirtview, wouldn’t start my day without it

  2. Evan you are truly Gods angel. A dear friend needed just what you sent today on your Blog”Let your light Shine”. How inspiring and good. We never lose our light, our true identity made in the likeness of God – perfect, whole and complete. Thanks very very much indeed.

  3. I love the idea that even when we feel like we’re not at the top of our game, our light IS shining because it’s the Christ, our true spiritual identity, which never loses its glow. Thank you, Evan!

  4. Our awareness of the Christ and providing our bright spiritual awareness is always a pick me up to ensure where I need to9 be.

  5. Even wrote me a simple email yesterday but wasn’t understood. With this blog, it is understood. Evil can be exposed instead of putting blame on the people who seem to give it power. Next time I have to answer to MATERIA MEDICAL, I shall be more compassionate in pointing out it’s mistake. It’s kind of a challenge and with C/S I shall meet it.
