Live in the presence of God

If you are depressed,
You are living in the past.

If you are anxious,
You are living in the future.

If you are at peace,
You are living in the present

  1. Thanks for todays thought. The Sentinel article is most helpful as I have been putting off clearing up a financial matter for a couple months. Time to get clear of it and find freedom in God’s supply.

  2. Thanks Brandon, wonderful. And thanks for the inspiring Sentinel article, Martine. ♡
Thanks a lot, Evan for this helpful reminder!
Just at the right time to practise this. An acquaintance asked me today to buy her a special bread – however in about two weeks when hers is eaten. I wrote back, that she should ask me again when she just needs it. Perhaps it might be a bit like God told Moses in the wilderness not to pick up more manna than his Volk needed for that present day.
Am grateful for these daily spiritual views to start the day with and for the so lively commentations here 🙂

  3. Very helpful article Martine ,thank you for the link. It helps so well with today’s thought from Evan. Brings a wandering material thought right back to the Truth that we can apply at all times even if there seems to be a problem to resolve. This is the wonder of living Christian Science. It is constantly guiding us , protecting us and enveloping us in Divine Love…right now.❣️

  4. Thank you Evan and thanks so much to Martine for that helpful article. I needed that to remind me “ Now is the day that God hath made, rejoice be glad in it”.
Thank you to all Spirit View family. So grateful❤️

  5. Love the quote , EVAN. It is a real keeper.
(Something good & true from China)
The article is exactly what I need, Martine.
    “Good & now are partners.”
    Blessings for all that partake…

    1. Wonderful SpiritView message and article. Many thanks. It reminds me of a simple but powerful church solo that my mother loved. That was long ago, and I have tried several times unsuccessfully to find a copy. I think the title was “Enough To Know”. The last line says it all: “God is!—That is enough to know.”

  6. Elaine, here are the words as I heard them:

I know not how, nor when, nor why
I can but this on God rely
His Truth, His Love, eternal flow
God’s Life – this is enough to know.

    I rest content whate’er betide
For Love and peace with me abide
I care not how my footsteps go
God guides – this is enough to know.

I know not when I shall forsake all sin
    And in His likeness wake
But to Christ’s stature I shall grow
God reigns – this is enough to know.

I know not why sometimes I fall
Seem to forget that God is all
I press His outstretched hand, and lo,
God is – this is enough to know.

    1. Dear Joan, thank you so much for finding and posting the verses for “Enough To Know.” I remember only the first and last. I can’t open the vocal, but that’s ok. I can still hear the melody in my head. And Shirley wrote that her church has the solo, so the blessings go on.
Some days I am almost in awe at the love, insights, and support expressed by the SpiritView community—and of course by Evan.
Sending late-in-the-day love and thanks to all.

    2. Thank you for the amazing words of this song. I will keep this and use it, so comforting and uplifting, just what I needed. Feeling much appreciation for all of you!

Yes we live truly in the Now, this is where God is — to be with God is to be right here in the ever-present Now!

  7. What a wonderful quote to share w us, Evan! And the photo is so full of the joy of true family-hood, which we all participate in as children of the One divine all-embracing, all-providing Parent. Feeling appreciation and oneness with all God’s creation keeps us living in the NOW.
Thank you, Martine for that inspiring article from 1939. As Richard said, today’s technology that can instantly share these healing truths with us, helps us to feel at peace in our present good. We have sooo many angels in our CS and world-wide community!

  8. Thanks Evan for the Awesome reminder we’re at Peace when living in the Present.
Thanks Martine very much for the Excellent article Eternal Now – really clarified thought perfectly!
Thanks Elaine, Joan, & all for Enough to Know – met the need today perfectly.
As Elaine & others lovingly expressed, I’m also in Awe at the Blessing of our SpiritView family.

& I’m grateful for the healing messages in this week’s Bible Lesson, in particular:
‘Existence, separate from divinity, Science explains as impossible.’ [SH522:3]
    &
‘Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.’ [ICor2:12]

  9. Here is another lovely old version of the solo, “Enough to Know,” also sung by Dick Frantzreb. Wonderful to see and hear it again!
Thank you , Evan, for these simple and wise words.
