With all the rules, directives, and mandates heaped upon society these days in efforts to manage the spread of a virus, there may be situations where you feel like something good has been excluded from your life. Perhaps you can’t visit a dear friend, see a family member, or go to work.
Whatever the temptation, counter it quickly with the truth that divine Love reigns supreme in your life, creating conditions and circumstances that are healthy, promote healthy activity, and support healthy interaction with fellow children of God.
Don’t let mortal mind put you on the defensive. Put mortal mind on the defensive with spiritual truth!
The pandemic and its related symptoms are error of belief that is correctible with spiritual truth. The faster we correct error with truth, the sooner we master the error and exercise dominion over it.
One spiritual truth that is essential to understand in today’s environment, is that error cannot exclude good from your life! Your Life is God, set and secure with abundant, abounding, on-going, continuous, and constant good. Be sure to keep living the Good Life!
Mary Baker Eddy wrote, “May the divine light of Christian Science that lighteth every enlightened thought illumine your faith and understanding, exclude all darkness or doubt, and signal the perfect path wherein to walk, the perfect Principle whereby to demonstrate the perfect man and the perfect law of God” (Miscellany, p. 187).
Error does not exclude truth. Truth excludes error.
Don’t let error exclude you. Exclude error with spiritual truth, and remain abounding in Love’s constant care and provision.
What a great direction to turn my thought towards today! The picture makes me think of embracing everyone , as Divine Love does, on a day when I meet up with a group of friends whom I haven’t seen for some considerable time. One of them has considerable physical challenges now , but I feel armed with spiritual truth to see them all as God sees them…perfect and happy! This simple poem is a very “healing” one, M! It has given me a perfect idea for how to include an individual in my prayers who had ‘excluded’ me from her life through false accusation! I clearly saw that the resolution of this conflict is not up to me,, it is up to God!

So helpful today. I have felt excluded from travel because I am not vaccinated. I have made some prayerful efforts to see that God’s plans always include proper good, But this is a real wake up call to see that nothing rightful can be, in the proper time, can be kept from me. In Exodus God says this to Moses, and it applies to all of us.
And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
(Exodus 33:19)
Thank you so much Evan, for reinforcing these Truths. They are very helpful in these times
where exclusion seems to be a real challenge. A local politician indicated that those who
did not “do the right thing” that this politician was demanding, were not doing
what “God” wants and were basically stupid, thoughtless, uneducated and uncaring
towards others. The parts of her speech that I heard were very disturbing and untrue
and bringing God into her pleas in such a way seemed so wrong. In knowing the Truth
of God’s perfection in these underlying deceptions of what is really going on, we help to
heal some very troubling directions that the world seems to be taken over by and trying
to become ‘the’ power, rather than a loving God that is really in control.
It’s a good reminder to include those perpetuating the lies, in our non-exclusive prayers. The most challenging belief for me, over the past year of discovery, is that so many people could be so corrupt, and harm so many. Evan’s post is a good reminder that God excludes no one, and Christ can reach the thought of every individual for reform. Thanks for this reminder Evan!

I’ve been struggling with this false belief, that those who have made a sincere but unpopular choice at this time could be shut out of many enjoyable activities. As the world seems to get crazier it only turns me further into the arms of God. I try to remember that nothing that is mine by divine right can be kept from me. Our good and our enjoyment cannot be limited by material pronouncements. Mrs. Eddy said in Miscellaneous Writings p. 306, “Never ask for tomorrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment.”
Imagine a love so great that it encompasses everyone.

This exclusion can also mean that there is a separation between vaccinated and non-vaccinated individuals. There is no exclusion from each other because there is no exclusion from our Father-Mother God. We are all one in Spirit, divine Love! If we read this week’s lesson thoroughly we find many hints to the truth we need in relation to true faith and health. I am very grateful for our lesson sermons each week!

Thanks so much for reminding us, that we as Christian Scientist are so empowerded by our Father-Mother love and protection that nothing that the materal senses are us can in anyway disuade from God’s Love.
Thderefore, if we are not led to be vaccinnated it should’nt be an issue. IT CAN EITHER HELP YOU ARE HURT YOU.
