On the brink

A woman in agony, feeling defeated and overwhelmed by suffering cried, “I feel like I’m on the brink.”  Meaning, on the brink of losing her life.

I replied, “The only brink in front of you is the brink of discovering expansive spiritual truth that brings healing!”  She laughed.  The mesmerism broke, and she soon found her freedom.

Be wise to never let mortal mind dictate how you feel and what you see as possible.  “With God all things are possible,” Jesus Christ taught (Mark 10:27).  Keep your mental eye on the infinite possibilities of Life in Spirit, and you’ll find your way to a better place.

Mortal mind cannot create a brink to fear.  Divine Mind keeps you moving onward and upward without limit.

  1. That is brilliant, Evan. Thank you.
A calm and confident declaration of
just the truth she needed which broke
the mesmerism. Truly our God is
all good, and we cannot be made to
    forget this spiritual fact.

    1. Thank you, J. I remember that article when it came out,
and I was impressed with t then It is very relevant to this
topic of Evan today I will remember that God’s
kingdom is “”up and running” for everything that suggests
      otherwise.

  2. Lovely message today, as always. Thank you, Evan, Maggie and J – for the
inspiring thoughts to take along today on Life’s journey.

  3. I read the statement in today’s message, “Mortal Mind cannot create a brink to fear.” Then my head said…”but it can sure try.” Yes error does try and seems to keep on trying. That’s why it’s great to be reminded.that we have a choice to…..“Be wise to never let mortal mind dictate how you feel and what you see as possible.” That is our divine right.

  4. When I read this, “on the verge of heaven” came to thought. It was something I’d read years ago in Miscellaneous Writings.
“Go to the bedside of pain, and there you can demonstrate the triumph of good that has pleasure in infirmities because it illustrates through the flesh the divine power of Spirit, and reaches the basis of all supposed miracles; whereby the sweet harmonies of Christian Science are found to correct the discords of sense, and to lift man’s being into the sunlight of Soul. ‘The chamber where the good man meets his fate is privileged beyond the walks of common life, Quite on the verge of heaven.’”

  5. This is beautiful, Evan.
