A dear friend shared this poem with me, which I thought was delightful. She gave me permission to share it with you.
Invitation To Grace
What food will you bring to Life’s table today?
If it’s sorrow or anger, please throw them away.
Instead, bring a large bowl of comfort for all,
And see that each serving is big and not small.
Add tender compassion for every dear one,
To slices of joy that are warm as the sun.
Have a pitcher of gratitude ready to pour,
A side dish of laughter and oh, so much more.
And then for dessert serve a most special treat,
Generous helpings of Love and your meal’s complete.
The table is ready, each one take their seat,
Our feast is before us, so come on, let’s eat!
Sharon

Thank you Sharon for allowing your poem to be shared, at the table where we all gather, for Evan’s spiritually nourishing posts.
As Mrs Eddy says in S&H, “Love enriches the nature, enlarging, purifying, and elevating it.”

Thank you, Sharon and thank you Evan! I often refer to these SpiritView gatherings as feasts of Love, for indeed they are as everyone shares their insights and good ideas. The poem is warm and loving and welcoming. God sets His table for us each day and brings all the bountiful Good we need. We show up, fully attentive to the present good, and partake of and share it with all. Thanks for this blessing.
This poem is delightful indeed. Thank you for sharing this lovely and inspiring inspiration 🙂
This was JUST what I needed, totally a major dose of healing!! It reminds me of Hymn 40: “…Come to the Feast of Love, come, utterly knowing/Earth has no sorrow that Love cannot cure.” (line 3).
