See the healing ahead of time

Are you struggling with a problem—health, financial, relationship?
If so, ask yourself this question, “What would be different in my thinking right now if I were already healed?”
It’s an excellent inquiry because it forces thought to recognize held-to errors that block healing.
If there is no error in thought, there is no error in experience.
Healing is about eliminating errors from the human mind with the spiritual truth of being.
As truth is poured in and accepted, error is cast out and denied place or power.
For lurking errors that seem difficult to discern or master, get a clearer view of how things SHOULD BE, and that which shouldn’t be becomes more obvious and is easier to cast out.
So, again, what would you be thinking and seeing right now if healing was complete?
“The body seems to be self-acting, only because mortal mind is ignorant of itself, of its own actions, and of their results, — ignorant that the predisposing, remote, and exciting cause of all bad effects is a law of so-called mortal mind, not of matter. Mind is the master of the corporeal senses, and can conquer sickness, sin, and death. Exercise this God-given authority. Take possession of your body, and govern its feeling and action. Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good. God has made man capable of this, and nothing can vitiate the ability and power divinely bestowed on man.”

Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health, p. 393.

  1. Thank you Evan. This Spiriview was so helpful. Jesus taught that the “the kingdom of heaven is at hand, and saw the harvest “ahead of time” (John 4:35), or not subject to the limitations of time or space.

But the idea you share is such an important element of healing…”what would you be thinking and seeing right now if healing was complete?” not only dispenses with the self-imposed limitation of time (i.e. I will be healed in the future.) but exposes the errors of belief that would intrude into our thought in an attempt delay the healing by projecting it into future.
    THANK YOU!

  2. This blog of Evan’s reminds me of Jesus thanking God before he brought Lazerous back from the dead. By doing that shows that he did not time the experience. It happened right away. To expect the healing based on understanding that the error never occurred in the first place.

  3. I’ve thought of this before and the first idea that comes to me when I think, “What would my thinking (or my life) be like without this problem?” I realize I would be so GRATEFUL that the problem was gone!

Then, I think, “Why not be grateful now?”

Jesus gave thanks and then he fed the 5,000.

Also, when you imagine how you’d be different without this problem, or more accurately, how your mental state would change, it’s easier to see that it’s all mental.

The ‘problem’ isn’t in the body, or the bank account, or in that other person, but in my mentality, my thought and that makes it easier to deal with because it’s not “out there” somewhere.

As my C.S. teacher used to say, “It’s an inside job.”

  4. Thank you for sharing this Evan. The question you posed has really given me some food for thought.

Currently I am struggling with the appearance of dermatitis on my face. My answer to your question in relation to this appearance was, “I would be more confident and not worry about what others think of me.”

However I need to start being confident and not worrying NOW!

I will follow Mrs Eddy’s advice and ‘rise in the strength of the Spirit to resist all that is unlike good!’

Thank you Evan and have a great day!

  5. I love this idea of being grateful ahead of time, and further, “being” the qualities that we think we’d express if already healed. This article is excellent along the same line of thought.
