  1. A great recording and inspirational performance. Our own community orchestra did something very similar just this year in May – Amazing Grace with the bagpipe soloist and full orchestra – truly a reflection of Mind.

  2. gorgeous, dear Evan, will listen to it later again and again. MBEddy says in S&H that music is devine – thats true if you listen to this – thanks a lot Evan!

  3. Just Gorgeous! Thank You, Evan! There is so much coming up and going on in… “this material world is even now becoming the arena for conflicting forces. On one side there will be discord and dismay; on the other side there will be Science and peace. The breaking up of material beliefs……..These disturbances will continue until the end of error,…….” Read pgs. 96-97 in Science and Health. So much coming up to be healed in our Sweet World and in our Sweet Lives. And it all needs to come up….we can’t stuff it back down in the box…it’s time for it to be seen, so it can be Healed. And this includes our own emotions, our stuff from our past, our anger, sadness, resentments, – all needing to be felt and dealt with so we can move forward into Science and peace. Thank you, Evan, for sharing this piece of “Science and Peace” with us this morning. Hallalujah! Praise God! Amen!

  4. This musical expression of … grace, of hope and love….made me think:
“…thousands of angels: the Lord is among them…” ~Psalms 68:17

Humanity has beautiful goodness. The goodness in us all reflects God, pure GOOD ~~
our hope and joy of heaven!

Thank you, dear Evan, for sharing this.

    :<)))

  5. Thank you so much Evan.
And I say ditto to Gloria and Jan.
I can, and on some occasions have, listened to this soul-stirring piece of music ad infinitum! I had made a list of almost a hundred different versions/renditions of Amazing Grace with the intention of downloading them (a CD for keeps). Have not yet forgiven myself for the procrastination … the streaming site closed down before I got my act together 🙂
The version by The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards is worth listening to.
Thanks again Evan, for reminding me not to “put off until tomorrow …” 🙂

  6. Thanks, Evan, for sharing this moving video. Although I’ve seen it before I really enjoyed the repeat performance. This is one of my favorite hymns and I was so glad it was it was included in the Hymnal Supplement #431.

  7. Thank you Evan…heart lifting. This performance led me to Live in Brazil with AR. Joy and wonder galore and a soaring example of the happiness and love people share with each other. Many thanks to you always.

  8. Thank you Evan for this wonderful video of this beautiful hymn and the Scots Guards. This is one of my favorite hymns and have always loved hearing the pipes.
There used to be an annual competition of bagpipe groups in Oregon, held outside. Pipers marched through the field sharing their wonderful music which often included favorite hymns, including this one.
No better way start a blessed day.
I add tears of joy and harmony to those of other responders.

  9. Thanks, Evan, for sharing this beautiful song. I remember watching a program on PBS years ago telling of John Newton’s spiritual awakening and progressing from captain of a slave ship to cleric in the Anglican Church. The music, being pentatonic (a 5-tone mode), was said to have been influenced possibly by hearing the captured slaves singing. You can play “Amazing Grace” on the five black keys of the piano. I love it, and this rendition with the bagpipes was particularly stirring. Thanks again.
