Stay spiritually minded

June 2, 2021 | 19 comments

When you keep your thought inspired, your day goes much better!

In this video, I share how I keep my thought in a good place while hiking through each day, and how you can keep your thought in a good place too!

This vlog was filmed on the Brins Mesa Trail near Sedona, Arizona, while hiking there in October of 2020.

  1. Thank you Evan, what beautiful country to hike in!

As always your message is a timely reminder of keeping our focus on the Truth.

So tempting at times to listen-in more closely to the whispers of.the world. As you said, they do not lead us to good places in our thought.

I like the well worn analogy from flying, if the oxygen masks come down, put your own on first before assisting others.

Aligning our own thought with Truth before our feet touch the ground in the morning, allows us to turn back there if family gripes try to derail harmony.

The door out to work and school for spouses and kids can be blessed with the green light of right thought, as they head off with your thought blessing them and go with God ♡

  2. This is a great message with which to start the day – thanks Evan! It’s dawned a beautiful day here, with sunshine and blue skies, and your vlog post has inspired me to start the day with a positive sense of purpose and uplift…

  3. Totally practical advise, looking for good as the basis for the work of the day, listening for the often subtle communication from God tailored to our specific need. Such a blessing. Such a blessing.

  4. The v-log had a timely message for me to keep grounded in God’s Love that surrounds me everyday. Being alert and using the three dailies to keep my thought on track is essential. Thank you Evan!

  5. I am replying to Uta’s comment in yesterday’s blog. Like her, I dealt with a neighbor who was severely interrupting my peace and my study of the Bible Lesson. I would come out on my back porch for some quiet study time. But often he would be working on his lawn mower repair making a lot of noise. It irritated me greatly because it is was not quiet and I could not even read the Bible lesson much less study and ponder it. The season finally ended. Then this past winter, I started praying about it in preparation for this season. I reasoned that he was a child of God just like I was, that God had given him talents that he was using; that he was contributing to the harmony of this community by repairing people’s lawn mowers. And I listed several Godlike qualities that he was expressing. But I also affirmed that in God’s creation, the harmony of one person or several people cannot come at the expense of someone else’s harmony. In political terms, you would say that it is not a zero sum game. And I am happy to say that a couple months into the season, the times are few and far between where I am conscious of my neighbor either with engine noise or the radio playing. My prayers were effective because there is only one Mind.

  6. I would say that I have difficulty in reacting to situations ( usually out of fear) that there is more than one mind. When I begin with the truth the fear and tension begin to melt.
It is not my, mortal battle but all is directed and harmonized by the one Mind,

  7. Dear Angie, thank you SO MUCH for the article you shared on spiritual sense! It reveals to me what I’ve always wanted to understand: What is spiritual sense? This article has given me clearest, best explanation I’ve ever seen. Again, so many many thanks!

  8. Evan thanks for the views of Sedona. I was there with my daughter in 2016, it is a magical place. I like what you said about how staying spiritually minded keeps us in touch with reality. The common mortal view is just the opposite, and would tell us that what the senses try to show us is reality. But we know it’s so worth it to look deeper and higher to see and experience actual reality. Love to all!

  9. Thank you Angie that is a phenomenal article this morning so very useful in daily work. Thank you again for finding it researching and posting it is great.ML

    1. Yeah for our periodicals, & all our terrific resources.
& I’m so Grateful for SpiritView (it corrected my perspective, to see not in the past, but Now is an awesome time to live Christian Science).

  10. I have found that the reading of the C.S. lesson each A.M. gives me a great start to my day. I also silently sing familiar hymns during my day and this helps keep my thoughts pure and spiritual. Thanks for the comments and your thoughts Evan. Really enjoy these spiritual nuggets shared daily!
