As a child of God, as the offspring of Spirit, as the intelligent consciousness of Mind, you reflect perfection.

Enjoy being a reflection of perfection today!

    1. The Sentinel article is most helpful this morning. Thank you.

The tulip as seen in the flawless mirror of thought is a beautiful and most fitting springtime gift.
Thank you Evan, for this pure picture of beauty, fragrance and promise.

Ever go to the “fun house”? Imperfect mirrors distort the image in front of them. In the funhouse intelligent visitors cannot be convinced of the false imagery. It can be disturbing to those unacquainted with distortion. Mortal lies, are a distorting material view. Our thinking should reflect no distorted image. Perfect God and perfect man dwelling in absolute harmony. The undistorted image.

    2. Just wanted to thank you for this message today and thank the one who shared the link to the article on reflection. It is so clear and helpful.

  1. Thank you Evan for the reminder that each of us reflects the perfection of Divine Mind. Knowing this allows us to go forth without any fears or restrictions to view our circumstances in a healthy healing manner. This naturally brings the healing Christ to all of us, our friends and family and all those we interact with. What a beautiful blessing to our world are you and all those who follow SpiritView. Thank you for your daily encouragement and loving service to our Cause.

  2. Perfect reflection
    Melissa Baker

    Looking deep into the
    reflection in the lake
    and taking a head count,
    nothing was missing.

    Every cloud, tree, leaf, blade
    of grass,
    every sailboat, duck, bird,
    nothing was missing,
    the reflection mirrored it all.

    A reflection can’t
    delete some objects
    and add others;
    reflection is exact.

    Looking deep into God,
    man is His reflected image.
    Nothing is missing,
    the reflection mirrors All.

    1. What a delightful poem.. thanks for sharing.
It reminds me of Mrs. Eddy’s statement on page 73 of the textbook when she says “man is image” and then she says “God controls man”. I love that thought that God controls me for I am that image.

  3. Thanks to all for your comments, article sharing, and poem which enhanced the blog idea of perfect reflection that Evan gave us. David, appreciate the reminder of the distorted views of fun house mirrors which we easily recognize are not really true reflections of ourselves. All helpful sharings.

  4. Lovely responses from everyone – poems and
articles very inspiring. Thank you all.

Something stood out to me in an article article which was posted on a SpiritView on
Humility a while ago fits in well with this subject.
    It said:

“Just as there could be no image in a mirror without its original, so man could not exist without God. All that man is, has, and does, he is capable of only because he is God’s image and likeness. Man is “that which has not a single quality underived from Deity,” says Mary Baker Eddy on page 475 of “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.”

This was an article by Jorgen C.T. Gabe from a
Journal of April 1947 called “True Humility is
    True Self-Respect”.

So we are told in the Bible: . “……be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.”
    (Isaiah 65:18)

  5. I have read this blog for a long time and have often silently thanked Evan and contributors for inspired sharings. However, the simplicity and purity of ideas shared today on the reflection of perfection have struck a chord and I feel I must voice a heartfelt “Thank You”.

    1. Sandy I am grateful you were moved to “voice your heartfelt thank you” today. Sometimes I think about the many SpiritView readers who add much to this forum with their silent yet powerful participation though prayers and right thinking. We are all growing and expanding our awareness together, and that meets my need to feel part of a spiritual community.

Evan I loved the beautiful, delicate black & white photograph and appreciated the statement that we are the “offspring of Spring.” To me that means we reflect God’s qualities of newness, eternality, Life, Love, Joy and vitality that the season represents. Deep thanks to all of you.

  6. Karen, I remember ‘The Mirror’s Lesson’ well from a booklet my mother gave us when we were very young – its lesson has stayed with me through many years. Thank you for citing it – wonderful to read again. And thanks to Evan, always!

    1. I still have that book from when I was child Jennifer and I still read it. The simplicity of Christ is wonderful!

  7. What a wonderful blog today…with so many comments and referred articles to reflect on! Thank you to everyone….this has uplifted my ( other wise very busy) spiritual day.
‘The Mirrors Lesson’ article was a new one for me to read, ,but the Rose positioned in a place surrounded by mirrors was exactly how my Sunday School teacher explained my perfection as a child of God. So Thank You for the link Karen…it brought back many memories.

‘Spirit and its formations are the only realities of being.’ S&H pg 264…
Lovely illustration Evan…so grateful, as ever.

  8. Wow. All of this was so helpful. Thank you so very much . I especially liked the story of “The mirrors lesson” that Karen posted

  9. Thank you, Evan–and Karen for the “mirror” story (believe me, not just for children!). Yes, we are each Love’s perfect reflection–now and forever.
    Karen W.

    1. I once heard that if you can’t explain Christian Science to a child you don’t understand it yourself. These children’s stories are like Jesus parables…simple but profound for adults as well as children. Glad you liked it Karen,!

  10. I often tell myself “I am the reflection of perfection”. I don’t know where I heard this before, maybe in an earlier SpiritView but its simple message says it all. A reflection can’t feel pain or fear or doubt etc. We are the image and likeness of our perfect Father-Mother. Perfect God – perfect man. Amen!

  11. God is All,.. Infinite Mind and it’s infinite manifestation. We are each the activity of this divine Mind being mirrored back to All Encompassing Love! So endlessly grateful for the heavenly inspiration contained in this site, Always blessings of comfort and joy! Thank you Evan, and all of the devoted followers of SpiritView.

  12. Thank you very much for that lovely foto up here. And I love to enjoy being a reflection everyday. I had a lovely day but also to pray for correction in my thoughts. However God doesn’t leave us alone and is always.with us

I love all the passages in SH and other writings of MBE where she affirm us about the perfect Ion of man because God, the creator is perfectIon.

The Holy Bible also admonishes us “be ye therefor perfect so as our Father in heaven is perfect!”
It is no good to see us less then perfect, because God made us perfect – He saw His work and found it very good – am working.to became very aware of it!
I am deeply grateful for SpiritView, dear Evan and to God for sending us His healing Christ in form of precious Christian Science.

  13. Thank you, Evan, for another inspiring and helpful blog. And thanks to all, each and everyone of you, for your contributions. I constantly declare: I AM THE EXACT REFLECTION OF GOD’S PERFECTION.

  14. Thanks Evan – I injured the top of my right hand with catching in the door leading out to my garage and it’s still a mess today (Thursday). This is just what I needed to read to get it healed the way it should have been on Monday, Thanks again,

  15. Oh, my goodness! What a neat message. Thank you very much for sharing the beautiful thought and photograph.

  16. An inspiration for all is today’s helpful message.Never read the Mirror
Lesson before so Karen thanks . On pg 51 ofMisc Writings by Mrs Eddy
is a lovely poem ending “And starting fresh, as in a second birth,Man in the sunshine of the worlds new spring,Shall walk transparent like some
    holy thing.”
