  1. Thank you Evan for this SpiritView
    But could somebody explain please what this whole sentence means. As a German I do not understand it quite. Already thanks a lot!

    1. Dear Uta,
      I believe the sentence means that you should stop looking out the window, or “out there” to find someone to blame, and look in the mirror, or examine yourself and change your own thinking to find healing or resolution to a problem.

      1. Thank you dear Friend in Texas, wonderful; and thank you all commenters below; it a l l helps me to understand today’s SpiritView.
        Ok, first look at my own faults to correct them, before judging others. Still better, never judge others! Love to all! God loves us all unconditionally, so good! 🙂

  2. I must first examine myself & my thinking before I judge my fellow man. It is not my job to decide how someone else acts. God cares for each of us. It is our task to express only love to God, ourselves, & our brothers. Ty, Evan. I needed this reminder about not judging others

  3. When we look into the mirror of God we see ourselves reflected. When we look at others we
    need to see the face of God.

  4. Here is a quote by Mary Baker Eddy that helps me;

    “Mortal mind produces its own phenomena, and then charges them to something else, — like a kitten glancing into the mirror at itself and thinking it sees another kitten.” :S&H 220:18

  5. It also reminds me of Jesus’ admonition to cast the “beam” out of our own eye before trying to remove the “mote” from someone else’s eye… purify our own thought, so we can see clearly another’s need to help them. When I first glanced at the phrase, stop the blame game, what came to me was how we/I link our troubles, mental or physical, to some past experience as a cause… I grasped that this, too, is a blame game! If God is the only Cause there is nothing to “blame” for any ill… and so, no ill when purged from thought.

  6. When our children or grandchildren and friends too, leave us by car, bike or boat, we always give a word of encouragement. ” Drive with gratitude, not attitude. ” if we are thinking good, clear, grateful thoughts every moment, every place, we will love our brother as our self and harmonious action follows. Thank you Evan.for another good reminder.

  7. Looking in a rear-view mirror makes me think of Jesus’ admonition “Get behind me, you devil., Satan” Let me put every temptation to blame, judge, criticize,be harsh or in any way unkind behind me today. In the past. Let me stay in the reliable now of all that delights God. That’d be all of us Her kids!

  8. Love all the insights! What comes to mind is that one should not live in the past (blaming other people or holding onto past moments) nor should they look to the future (and possibly blaming someone for not being in the future where they think they should be – perfect job, retirement, relationship, economically, etc. The present is the . Get out there and do what you love right now. The only thing holding you back is you.

  9. I love the idea of looking in the mirror of God to see the true reflection wherein is nothing negative to blame in our neighbor OR in ourselves! Personalization of error, including self deception which attaches wrong to ourselves and our neighbor is totally voided when we focus on holding to only God’s images and likenesses, which abound in Love’s real man(ifestatin)!!!
