Many people feel uncertain about the future. They worry about staying healthy, what they eat, how to stay fit, catching a contagious disease, holding onto their job, finding peace of mind, actions of officials in office, and climate change. Anxiety, depression, and fear seem to rule the day for many. But it doesn’t need to be that way!
Life is not a haphazard, uncertain roll of the dice. It is not at the mercy of chance, risk, or the whims of time. Understood spiritually, life is God. God is Life! And this Life is all good. There isn’t anything uncertain about it.
We can all choose to live the Good Life. Jesus Christ has shown us how to do it. He taught us to be faithful to the Ten Commandments, live the Sermon on the Mount, the Golden Rule, love God with all your heart, and your neighbor as yourself. He proved that when one lives in harmony with God, they can face evil fearlessly and conquer it. Jesus certainly had trials, some severe, that he had to deal with, but he faced them fearlessly knowing that God’s good would triumph in the end. And it always did. He did not fear the future. He determined it by living in accord with God.
Jesus lived the Good Life—the spiritual Life of God—that enabled him to conquer all the evils of the flesh and ascend to eternal Life with God in heaven.
We can do the same! We can live the Good Life. We can strengthen our morals, spiritualize thought, pray, listen, and follow God’s direction as it comes. The Mind of God will always tell us what we need to know to surmount evil and leave it behind.
We do not need to fear the future. We form and shape it by living in accord with spiritual truth now.
Our Life with God is a certain thing. It’s fixed, ours forever to enjoy. There is no better time to live it, than now!
“[Jesus] did not fear the future. He determined it by living in accord with God.”
Thank you.
Evan, thank you for sharing this beautiful message today. It has filled me with more than hope, but with the very Love and essence of Spirit.
Thank you Evan. What lovely thoughts to embrace and live.
Evan thank you so much for this positive message today. I have always tended to be a bit of a worrier – glass half empty instead of half full. My husband is totally the opposite, very positive about life. I.have often said that he is more of a Christian Scientist than I am, though he has no interest in CS! I shall reread this message several times as it is so helpful.
My experience as well❣️❣️
What wonderful thoughts to shape of day our week. This is the evening meal the wake up call all rolled up into one delicious moment. How grateful I am to be a part of the world today! The blessings are all ours for the thinking.
The best shield for the was of material experience is the armour of Love. Love your enemies, Love those who you fear, love those who you think may be your oppressors, Love God’s creation even though you need not love what it is that those who oppose you do. All that do evil in their heart do it against their own benefit for they have to live within that environment. But we can live within the environment of Love for we are surrounded by love, divine love, when we expresses it. That is our armour and that is the key to life.
thank you, Evan for this inspiring post.
Thank you Evan. This is great, living life now, forever the same. Jesus proved this. In Science and Health we read, 29:3. He at last paid no homage to forms of doctrine or to theories of man, but acted and spake as he was moved, not by spirits but by Spirit. Thanks to all, contributing to Spirit View.
This is just what I need today. It’s a real keeper!!
Thanks Evan, and all!
Thank you Evan…I’m very grateful for these thoughts today. I guess I have much to learn each day of how to be the expression of God, good . It’s always made a little easier when I’ve read this blog and all the wonderful comments from everyone. Grateful❣️
Thank you Josef, yes the best shield is the armor of Love.
Mrs. Eddy said in S&H (p. 571), “Clad in the panoply of Love, human hatred cannot reach you.”
As we recognize that God surrounds and fills us all, we can see that we’re always in the environment of Love. That helps us express this Love to others. “In atmosphere of Love divine we live and move and breathe.” (Hymn 144). Evan once told us in a previous Spiritview that breath is a metaphor for spiritual inspiration.
This week the subject of the Bible lesson is Love. The golden text is “Love never fails.” Doesn’t that say it all.
Sorry, meant to post this under Josef’s post!
Love to all of you!
Thank you Rose for these reminders. I too love to pray with the words from one of our hymns “in atmoyphere of Love divine we live and move and breathe”. And such a wonderful interpretation of the word “breath” Evan gave us, namly “spiritual inspiration”, how helpful all this!
– with Love – ♡
Such wonderful inspiration ~ Thank you(se). I flipped
randomly in the hymnal this morning and #146,
One Mind~edly came up:
“In God I find a precious gift That knows no fear, no feud,
That glows so still, serene and pure: The gift of
gratitude.
It brightens all the paths of earth, Reflecting Truth and right,
For gratitude doth steadfastly Abide in heavenly light.
With confidence it hails each task, With courage undismayed,
For naught against Infinity Can ever be arrayed…”
I am so grateful for these Spiritual outlooks on Life. So Loving
and True.
Thank you Evan and thank you Carol for reminding me this beautifull hymn.
Anxiety flees in the face of gratitude

Thank you so much, Martine. One Mind/God so
often expresses itself in conjunction with just the
thoughts we need and/or corresponding with
the topic.
Thank you (and J below) for both excellent articles.

What a great message for all to read and ponder. It cuts cuts across denonminational lines, providing a clear pathway for living one’s certain Life with God. A message to share with family and friends. Thank you Evan.
Science and Health page 306,- “Undisturbed amid the jarring testimony of the material senses, Science, still enthroned, is unfolding to mortals the immutable, harmonious, divine Principle,– is unfolding Life and the universe, ever present and eternal.”
We can all rise to the Spirit view in prayer, lifting thought above material doubts and uncertainties, seeming roadblocks and limitations, to realize and demonstrate the certain and continual operation of God’s law in our experience.
Thank you,Evan, Wonderful!!
