We always trust in something. Be sure to trust in what is truly helpful.

Trust in what brings a good result.

Trust in God!

  1. “With our whole heart we must trust God. Under all circumstances we must trust Him. Otherwise our thoughts are divided between Truth and error,” says the article Martine graciously attached in response to Evan’s potent inspirational admonition. The article illumunes that Mary Baker Eddy reminds us to trust only Truth. In working on having healthy relationships in my life and so-called “trust issues” I am/we are truly secure only in our relationship to divine Truth, Love. Hallelujah for this great gem of authentic knowing!

    1. Yes, a big Hallelujah, we can trust in God. Mrs. Eddy says “Friends will betray and enemies will slander, until the lesson is sufficient to exalt you; for ‘man’s extremity is God’s opportunity’.” S&H 266.
And, O the peace that come when we learn to trust God to meet our every need.. HALLELUJAH !

  2. Trust in God to me means Trusting in the good all around me the Love that is given and received, the Principles that guide us and guard us at every moment. The building of Trust is a moment by moment experience.

  3. Thank you so much Evan for this loving reminder: also Martine for the useful Journal article and Sheri for your helpful comments. SpiritView is a well spring of inspiration.
    Much love to all.

  4. Thank you, Evan for your daily dedication to share Christian Science. It is a gift to us all that read them and beyond.

This is one of my absolute favorite talks. I’ve listened to it numerous times. What I love about the ideas- which Tricia reveals is that she explains the many definitions of righteousness and how righteousness means in simple terms-fulfilling the requirements of any relationship. God is righteous 100% of the time. If God is righteous 100% of the time- why is it that we do not always see healing/revealing? She explains that man-in the equation is the one that needs to improve our part in fulfilling the requirements in our the relationship with God. We need to out 100% trust/faith in God. She explains it better. Here it is:

  5. I’ve just reached out to Evan with a question because our dear family dog is scheduled to have surgery on Friday for what might be a serious health issue. I’m not a Christian Scientist but I want to put my trust in God and I want to expect “a good result”. (I wonder if I could expect the surgery to be unnecessary or do I ask too much…?)

I find it a little difficult to keep the faith because others around me (my family members) don’t put their trust in God and maybe don’t even expect “a good result”.

Has anyone ever been in the same place? I know those commenting here are probably more experienced in spiritual healing than I am. I just want to do the right thing for our dog and would love to see her happy, healthy and whole.

    1. Dear Mia, my heart is with you. The love you have for your dear dog is so clear and strong. God has the same love for her, and He sees her as He made her, full of unchanging wellness and vitality, And He sees you and your family full of unchanging joy, embraced in His Love. Nothing can keep you from knowing these truths. Sending love.

      1. Thank you, dear Rose, how lovely you put this – I appreciate your comment so much! It feels so good to know that I am not alone in this.

    2. Dear Mia, you are beautifully expressing God’s Love in your love of a pure, innocent creature such as your dog, who is also God’s creature. This love is a blessing to this very good, dear dog of Spirit’s, God’s creation and keeping. I cannot answer your question for you but I can share some thoughts that come to me in pondering your question. Can we ever expect “too much” of God? The Christ, Jesus, teaches us that “with God all things are possible” and that “all things are possible to them that believe.” And from the Lord’s prayer, we learn that all we need (our daily “bread”) is ours (“our” bread) by the gracious gift of God even before we accept the gift. Is it too much to expect that our “bread” or supply include perfect healing for our loved charge without fear of undesirable side effects?
I also love this statement in the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy: “God is the Life, or intelligence, which forms and preserves the individuality and identity of animals as well as of men” (“men” meaning mankind, of course.) And from Genesis 1, we know that God made all things “very good.” God is always seeing your dear dog in her full, perfect identity of wholeness, health, joy! Much love to you, your dear dog and family.

      1. Thank you so much for the kind words, AD! They mean a lot to me.

I especially love this sentence: “Is it too much to expect that our “bread” or supply include perfect healing for our loved charge without fear of undesirable side effects?” I will remember that. Also thank you for reminding me that God actually made us all “VERY good”.

        Much love to you, too!

  6. Oh Evan, the picture you chose for today’s message is perfect. I can feel myself perched on that swing, high up above the chaos and deceptions of mortal mind, floating free and enjoying the perfection of God’s universe.

Yes we are always trusting something, always having faith in something, but in what? Let’s take a look often and make sure there is no latent trust in anything apart from God. Sending blessings to all of you!

    1. Thank you Rose, you said that so sweet, swinging above all error. I feel the same! Still love this swinging!
Love and blessings to you too♡

Evan, thanks for this joyous and lighthearted picture!♡

  7. Thank you Evan for the clear, concise word of Trust.
I am also thankful for the blessings it sparked in the shared articles and comments.
    Love is at work❤️

  8. If something doesn’t seem very helpful sometimes, then the Truthsentence is very helpful, that all things serve for good to them who love God. It might be from the Bible? For me it is comforting in trying times.
However yes, in any case let’s trust God, the all encompassing, infinite Good!
Thank you very much, Evan for this most wonderful and helpful reminder!♡

  9. Thanks Evan sir for sharing your inspiration and this is the source of inspiration to so many. Difficult sometimes to have absolute faith in God as in materialistic situations error or unlike God qualities we tend to see or assume. Still try to apply every moment.
