Many political and medical leaders in the world today believe that people will not be safe from the coronavirus until a vaccine is created. This is not true! There is a spiritual way to protect oneself from the virus that does not require waiting until a vaccine is produced. Christian Science explains how to do it.
Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer of Christian Science, wrote, “At a time of contagious disease, Christian Scientists endeavor to rise in consciousness to the true sense of the omnipotence of Life, Truth, and Love, and this great fact in Christian Science realized will stop a contagion” (Miscellany, p. 116).
We live in a realm of thought. As fears and beliefs about the coronavirus are countered and neutralized with an understanding of the “omnipotence of Life, Truth, and Love,” the virus is rendered harmless.
This is not a casual demonstration to be taken lightly. To be successful, our prayers need to be earnest and sincere, genuinely knowing and seeing the omnipresence of God’s good wherever we go and in whatever we do. But this it totally doable!
We do not have to live in fear of the coronavirus. We can demonstrate immunity to contagion.
Know the omnipotence of God and prove your safety now.
Challenging but worth while…lets give it another try until we succeed!

You know the other day I watched a documentary on the Hubble Telescope. During which we were shown some 3d images of the universe. Wow I was totally blown away by the sheer magnitude of what we were seeing. It was so big and vast it was hard to imagine. Then a thought came to me. All of the planets, gas clouds, black holes, galaxies and the universe etc were in fact just a pin head to God, as the Omnipotent being….As Mary Baker Eddy tell us, we are “subject to the Devine power’s that be” just try to imagine how much power and control God has to protect man. How small is this alleged virus? Do we for a moment believe it is too much for God to deal with! In fact he/ she has already dealt with it. It is powerless and we are all safe in God’s care as his children. Never fear for God is here!
That reminds me of my first trip to Colorado, seeing the magnificent Rocky Mountains rising from the eastern foothills. I imagined the immense forces involved in heaving them up – a minuscule reminder of God’s omnipotence. Then I saw myself standing totally dwarfed by the mountain heights and saw how small my problems were in comparison to these mighty mountains!
What an insight that was into God’s all-power! So humbling.
And this tiny virus, apparently only visible by mortal eye under a highly magnifying microscope – how could it even pretend to have more power than Almighty God, who fills ALL space!!!
In Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy states: “Matter disappears under the microscope of Spirit.” (p. 264:21)
I have witnessed the truth of this statement, when a dear friend was in hospital for surgery to remove what the surgeon diagnosed as “widespread bad cells.”
He was astonished to find no “bad cells” when the patient was opened up and he took a tissue sample to send to the lab. No abnormalities were found and my friend was soon released to return home.
GOD IS INDEED OMNIPOTENT!
Since the virus has come about. There are signs posted here and there. Some are along the highway. I see them spiritually especially the one that says” don’t give up” . I see it as a message to triumph over whatever is a seeming negative factor.
The virus cannot affect us it has no power whatsoever no matter what people think or do. It is nothing but mortal mind.

Thank you Evan for directing this group of spiritual thinkers to daily handle the aggressive beliefs of the serpent virus. In Recapitulation, p. 495, 6-13 (Science and Health) under the marginal heading of Destruction of all evil, Eddy affirms: If sickness is true or the idea of Truth, you cannot destroy sickness, and it would be absurd to try. Then classify sickness and error as our Master did, when he spoke of the sick, “whom Satan hath bound,” and find a SOVEREIGN ANTIDOTE for error in the life-giving power of Truth acting on human belief, a power which opens the prison doors to such as are bound, and sets the captive free physically and morally.
While working as a Christian Science nurse, a patient shared with me Edward Kimball’s Letter on Poise. I find it a sovereign antidote to any thoughts of fear. Divine inspiration.

From Science and Health: “Disease has no intelligence to declare itself something and announce its name.” SH 391:24-26 Then I began to think about “name” and what name DOES announce itself. Hi Mary, Letter on “Poise” is on p. 486 in Edward Kimball’s book LECTURES AND ARTICLES ON CHRISTIAN SCIENCE. There are two versions printed with the same title. You must look in the back under LETTERS to make sure it has the Letter on “Poise”. I really don’t mind writing it out here. Sometimes the right copy is hard to find. Read also Letter on Reflection. Letter on “Poise” By Edward Kimball
The consciousness of the individual is poised somewhere in the realm of thought. The poise of the perfect man is in perfection — a state of self-knowledge, dominion, grandeur, repose, superb appreciation.
Here is an important strategic point in your spontaneous or speedy transformation. In a certain sense your poise will save you, because your poise is your real appreciation of being. Ascend constantly to your highest altitude and plane of equanimity, self-reliance, and mental culture. Ascend above the plane of concept whereon the ordinary trash of human belief can move you and substitute itself for your natural peace. Maintain your peace and happiness by refusing to descend into the mud of cheap human rubbish, and know that your composure cannot be upset by every or any mortal who can be used to wallow in the mud.
We have a fundamental ability to do everything that is right to do, and to manifest improved beliefs of ability and accomplishment as we go along. We ought to do everything spontaneously, without process or progressive steps. Deny the belief of limitation, obscuration, obstruction, and development. We do not need a long process of development, because all Truth is already developed, and is ours now.
There is always the right thing to do, and you may declare always that you can know what it is. By opening up your thought and accomplishing a state of receptivity, you will be surprised to find how much will come to you as a sort of revelation.
Avoid self-depreciation. It is always a step backward, and will keep you down on a low level.
Nothing that anyone may think can possibly harm you. Do not believe otherwise. Fear is an utter fiction. It is always about nothing — or rather it is about its lie concerning something. It is never yours. There is no such thing as “my fear.” Exclude it by keeping it at arm’s length.
There is no matter to be cured or changed. Nothing needs to be changed but a belief.
Remember that these beliefs appear only to disappear. Therefore be not afraid.

Thank you, Evan, for this blog and the insights you provide. I felt the need to challenge this claim when my daughter expressed the same thought, that no one would be safe until a vaccine is found. I asked myself what I was waiting for to feel safe. Using Concord, I discovered many Bible verses reminding me that I must wait ON God, serve Him, focus on His omnipresence and power. Here are two of my favorites: Ps. 27:14. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. Ps. 62:5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. I also love the thought that “…Life divine owns each waiting hour.” (Hymn 207). If eternal, infinite Life owns each hour, then we, as Life’s beloved , active reflection, must be forever safe in Life’s embrace. We don’t have to wait for something to be created to be safe; we only have to wait on God to know that we are already safe, secure, and immune from evil.

I asked myself what I was waiting for to feel safe. Once in the Company I worked for our chief ordered a doctor who should vaccinate all workers against flew. But I said, that I did not want that.
It was not a must for us and quietly I knew for myself, that God is vaccinating me with Love. That is decades ago and meanwhile I had to overcome this several times, however through prayer and with help of dear practitiiners and I am so grateful for the so devoted practitioner and for my sundayschool time , for Christ Jesus and MBEDDY. who did immense work for mankind. This work is from our omnipotent, all loving God.. am grateful for specially this SpiritView, as also the CS teacher I made the CS class advised us never to be vaccinate, rather knowing the omnipotence of God and prove our safty with our Father-Mother God. as Evan wrote in the last sentence.
