It’s always full speed ahead when your mental eye is on God and your heart aligned with Truth.
Yes, there may be times when we feel stalled, or maybe even going backward because our healing is taking longer than we expected, or we see a symptom we don’t like. But healing is thought advancing to higher positions in Truth. When you learn a new truth about God, you never forget it. It sticks and stays. Like learning a circle is round. Once you learned the truth about a circle, you never forgot it. Truth sticks.
Likewise, with your prayers for healing. Every new truth you learn about God is advancing your healing. You do not forget new lessons learned. You hold onto them and benefit from them. You continue to progress with them.
So, if mortal mind ever tries to convince you that you’re not advancing, or even going backward, don’t buy it. Shut it down! Remember all the lessons you are learning and keep moving with them.
Mary Baker Eddy writes, “In Christian Science there is never a retrograde step, never a return to positions outgrown” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 74).
It’s only onward and upward for you! Keep soaring and singing with Truth and don’t look back.
To keep us “soaring and singing”, of course, the wonderful hymn #64 comes to though. Thank you for your uplifting and encouraging post today, dear Evan.
From sense to Soul my pathway lies before me,
From mist and shadow into Truth’s clear day;
The dawn of all things real is breaking o’er me,
My heart is singing: I have found the way.
I reach Mind’s open door, and at its portal
I know that where I stand is holy ground;
I feel the calm and joy of things immortal,
The loveliness of Love is all around.
The way leads upward and its goal draws nearer,
Thought soars enraptured, fetterless and free;
The vision infinite to me grows clearer,
I touch the fringes of eternity.
Those words ring true, with the vision of “SIGHT FROM ABOVE”, Thank you Sharon for posting all the words of hymn #64. “mist and shadow’ reveal clearing “into Truth’s clear day” has come before me and stand out in the rare moment while I am married to a twin and in my family, one of my 3 sisters is twins with my brother, which leads them to celebrate together their 80 years traveling around the earth, Now they’re preparing for a party to celebrate.
The words of this hymn lift me up, as I will be with my husband and his twin brother who is married to a twin; but I can’t be with my own family’s celebration at their twin’s party. One is south, while the other is up north, both at the same time! I’ll LOVE them ALL as they gather together, just from afar.,
A beautiful uplift to start the day! Keep moving forward!
What a joy to see this message this morning. Thank you.
Love this today, thank you!❣️
Once again, this is so timely. Exactly what I needed to read. And ponder. Thank you Evan.
Thank you Evan! What an eye opener!
Thank you Evan for today’s post and Sharon for posting the words of hymn #64
I am reminded of the caterpillar who thought it was the end of the
world, but it became a beautiful butterfly. And like a butterfly, we
can not go back to being a caterpillar, for we have ascended our
thought and progressed from mortal, crawling, downward thinking
into an enlightened treasure of Soul. Hymns inspire me above the
weighty pull of regression. I love the one you shared, above, Sharon.
Thank you! and Thank You, Evan and All … for these uplifting thoughts
that illumine our way into a togetherness that inspires with such Love.
Thank you very much, dear Evan for your so encouraging and uplifting SpiritView today!
i had a very busy and successful and blessed day. There was a nice cleaning helper to whom I had to explain a lot as she was the first time in my home. At the end she did good work.
Suddenly when I needed to work at my computer I noticed I could not work at the PC. neither could I phone , because it’s an Internet phone. In the afternoon when the cleaning woman was gone , I got very excited about this problem in my PC. I prayed about it and knew in my thinking, that God is allknowing and allacting. I tried a long time at the PC to fix it and still was excited. Then I sat still, listening to God’s guidance. Wow then the thought came, to do something very simple, what I already did before several times and I was now calm and sitting on my sofa again and did try the phone again, deep thanks to God, the whole Computer System worked again completely.
Sometimes it just needs calm trusting prayers for healing. That’s the spiritual tool we learn already in our Sundayschool and will never forget.
And every healing brings us progress, as Evan says, for which I am soaring and singing joyfully and thankfully to our God for the most valuable pearl of Christian Science.
Dear Sharon, thank you very much that you wrote for us the whole hymn 64 which I was singing in my heart. It’s so comforting and healing. – love that hymn!
I love this, Evan! Thank you.
Thank you, Sharon. Hymn 64 compliments this post perfectly.
