Ask God for help

“If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you.”

~ James 1:5, NRSV

Sometimes we get so absorbed in solving problems on our own that we forget there is valuable help at hand. God’s help! Be sure to use it! You will progress much faster.

  1. For animal lovers everywhere the photo is precious, however the Bible verse and accompanying comments are ‘perfect’ for my days ahead. Thanks so much. J

  2. Totally cute photo!

And wonderful advice! I have been praying for God’s help in two situations at church, and have recently been getting great guidance. I am so grateful to know all is under God’s control!

  3. God had definitely opened the way for me through Christian Science to this opportunity many times. It is so fascinating how we all can be connected to the right way in Divine Science. When that way opens up to the right solutions, it is right for everyone, perfect in timing, no one is left out or untouched in the way that they need. I know this but I am still amazed when I see this in operation.

  4. There are CHRISTIAN SCIENTISTS that are leaving the system with the excuse that it doesn’t work any more. They are speaking of the healing of sickness. But sickness is only the selling point. They don’t realize that C/S is so much more, as Mrs Eddy points out in many of her writings, it is the healing of sin which is basically that man some how is separate from God.

I ask God how can I deal with this and not fall for this false conclusion. His answer to me is simply 1 word; “CHEMICALIZATION.” Evil is beginning to be seen in order to expunge it from thought. That is what’s going on today, Bringing evil out in the open in order for it to be seen as nothing and to rid consciousness of it.

  5. I agree with Josef’s comments as it’s always a wonder to see how God works in miraculous ways.

While I’ve been thinking about this, I felt led to read Proverbs 3: 3 – 8 again and this confirms what Evan wrote.

We are truly blessed to have God’s Word to help us in our lives!

  6. Thank you all for these inspiring and encouraging words. One Mind is the greatest resource. And that one Mind, Divine Love, leads us in the best ways possible. The good ways. I understand when answers are most definitely from God, because they are so filled with Love for everybody and everything that pertains to the situation. The Truth about the situation is revealed like the sun breaking through the clouds. Thank you all.

  7. I’ve always turned to God for the big problems that seem unsolvable, and once solved try to take control back. After all, God must have lots to do besides the little things and details. During my time with Him a few weeks ago, it came to me that God is in all the details and that includes the small daily issues. WOW! Answers without ceasing. Things go so much better as I stop to ask simply what to do next in everyday issues. I am so grateful to be learning this now. I am so grateful for the Science of Christ that can be applied to every thing. Thank you Evan for your blog.
