thanks for this message.it came just in time. soon my day will bring choices of which chore to tackle first. it will be nice to praise and pray be productive.

Mary Baker Eddy saw what God sees. She always shone with God’s Love. So too should we. Wherever she shone, there was Love’s healing. There is the lovely example of a mother whose child was healed of a sore on her head when Mrs Eddy passed by on her carriage, and looked on them with such love that it changed their lives. We can best contribute when we also shine with what we truly are.

I just love this! I tend to complain so when I read this in hymn 249/250 I really started working to practice it. “Our gratitude is riches, complaint is poverty..,” Thank you!!
Thank-you Evan, this is wonderful advice. I strive to put this into practice every day , I tell myself there’s always something to be Grateful for and Praise God for all the Good!. No complaints. Just Gratitude !.

This summer I’ve started verbally saying “thank you, Father” for every timely green light, for every happy coincidence, for every act of kindness that I see or can do. And the outcome is that I’m seeing more good and am happier. Thank you Father!

This reminds me of something Irving Tomlinson wrote. I don’t have the source, just the quotation:
I want to tell you about my eyes. I have learned how to make CS a thing of life, not of words, and I am going to tell you what the wonderful secret is. Not see or hear or repeat any kind of imperfection. It is seeing, hearing, and repeating good. Good only! At all times, under all circumstances, in spite of everything that appears to the contrary.
I make this resolution every morning and review it every hour of the day.
I see perfection, a perfect cause and perfect effect, perfect God, and perfect man, and I refuse to admit the slightest imperfection in myself, in my friends, and in my so-called enemies. Even in my affairs, and in the affairs of the world.
I take a radical stand of perfection of God and everything, and everybody He has made. I look up upon the world with God’s eyes and see it as He sees it. I refuse to see it in any other way.

The outward conditions are pictures of our inward thinking. To change the picture one must change the thought thoughts that produced the picture.
