If ever tempted to think, “I don’t have enough understanding to be healed,” quickly toss that suggestion out of thought, and remember that God gives you the understanding you need to realize a right outcome.
Mary Baker Eddy wrote, “Spirit imparts the understanding which uplifts consciousness and leads into all truth”
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 505).
God loves you. Whatever you need, divine Love is present to supply it, including all the understanding you need to realize a spiritual truth and demonstrate its reality.
Have no fear of lack. There is none. There is supply, abundance, provision, and sufficient understanding!
You have the understanding you need coming from God this moment. Acknowledge its presence and let it bless you.

Though we pass through tribulations, the understanding is always present, flowing from God. The spark of light on the girl’s head in the picture presented says it all.
Hymn 149 is a beautifully healing hymn which fits with this beautiful message from Evan
” In Love divine all earth-born fear and sorrow / Fade as the dark when dawn pours forth her light; / And understanding prayer is fully answered, / When trustingly we turn to God aright.
And as on wings of faith we soar and worship, / Held by God’s love above the shadows dim, / Hushed in the grandeur of a heart’s awakening, / Unfolds a joy unknown till found in Him.
Then in this radiant light of adoration, / We know that man beloved is in God’s care, / Not wrapt in fear nor bowed with tired labor, / But satisfied, complete, divinely fair.

467:26-27 Spirit gives the true mental idea.
I was wrestling to “know” what to think, or pray, in order to have a healing. The joy which came from this statement! It eliminated a false struggle, so I could be confident that Spirt, God, freely GIVES me mental ideas. So happy to see this reaffirmed on Spiritview today.
Yes that’s so true Fawn, realizing we can put down that false mental struggle of trying to get the right understanding humanly, but instead to know it’s there continuously flowing from God, is a great relief. I thought of the waterfalls in Evan’s vlog the other day, all God’s good and all His right ideas flowing flowing flowing uninterruptedly.
Thank you Evan for exposing all the various ways error tries to masquerade as our thought and deceive us. You often start the day’s post with “if you’re ever tempted to think……”. We all get these temptations and it’s so important to bring them out in the open to be destroyed with spiritual truth.
Christian Science study and prayer is a way of life, what a gift, to strenghthen that spiritual muscle and learn that we CAN (by leaning on God) look at EVERY situation spiritually.
“Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.” Proverbs 3 v13-15

A wonderful healing of predicted academic failure came when the thought “I don’t understand” was replaced with, “son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.” All of God’s understanding is ours. Wow. Not only a little understanding, but ALL of God’s understanding is ours. True for everyone. If there’s only one Mind, not only are we what Mind knows, but we have the understanding of what Mind understands. We just have to look for it there.
That’s lovely, Diane – it seems that when we admit we don’t understand, we have then
rendered ourselves receptive to what God is imparting to us, to enable us to understand.
So there is nothing we actually cannot understand if we look to God as the All-knowing Mind,
and that He will supply the understanding we need when we get ourselves
out of the way.

Sometimes in our quest to share so much of Divine Love’s Truth,
we may be misunderstood. Where childlike innocence and such trust and
willingness to do what is right may be misinterpreted and thinking of mortal’s
“mind” tends to want to creep in where it was never intended or never has
really been.
Only to express and share God’s Love more … is Really our True motive.
To truly help in sharing this Love is the spiritual goal, although sometimes
mortal sense ( ~ as mentioned here a few blogs ago, as far as I know,
none of us can walk on the water yet), tries to get in the way, so it seems
sometimes to be a challenge, for me anyway, to understand where little
mind and the One Mind begin and end.
I appreciate all the wonderful thoughts shared here in helping to understand.
