Harbor no fear of Covid

January 4, 2021 | 22 comments

When fear disappears, the foundation of disease is gone.

~ Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health, p. 368

To stay healthy, harbor no fear of disease!

One learns in metaphysics that disease is not transmitted in matter, but through mind. It’s not a material germ that is the danger but fears and beliefs associated with that germ. If those fears and beliefs are neutralized with spiritual truth, the germ is rendered harmless.

So, live fearlessly! Not blindly, merely on positive faith or through wishful thinking, but in an understanding of God’s omnipotence and omnipresence.

God’s universe is not a place of material chance and risk. God’s universe is Mind, where the atmosphere is pure Love, the environment is governed by Truth, and experience is predictably good.

In God’s universe, there are no harmful germs. Covid is no threat to God’s omnipresence. With God, there aren’t any dangerous germs to fear, but Love’s omnipresence to acknowledge, reflect and experience.

When we live in a consciousness of Truth, we experience the benefits of that Truth.

In Truth, Covid is no threat, no danger, and of no effect. There isn’t anything to fear, just God to love.

So, live fearlessly. Live in God’s omnipresence where all is safe and well. Take an understanding of this environment with you wherever you go, breathe in its truth wherever you happen to be. Stay spiritually minded and live free of all fear. It’s a sure way to stay healthy.

  1. “Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized.”

-Science and Health with Key to the Scripturesby Mary Baker Eddy, page 167

Thank you, too, Evan, for encouraging us to this strong prayerful position.

  2. When i see that beatiful pictures of that dog, i remember what a good friend once told mee,Jesus didnt walk on the water, he was waking OVER the water.

  3. Thank you Evan for these beautiful and inspiring words.
Last May I came in contact with a patient three times within 24 hours. The patient is my friend and very helpful so when he wasn’t keeping well I took meals to his home. On my third visit he informed me that his reports were positive. Every time I visited him I never took off my mask but he never wore one even when he called me to his home to inform about his reports. I felt as if he took me and my family for granted. While he underwent home isolation as per government norms I too self isolated my self for 14 days. During the isolation in a room of my home, I was very much disturbed pondering every day why my friend took me for granted. I took help and was advised to read the article on ‘Contagion’ and other Christian Science articles including Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy which made me realize that God, divine Love takes care of all His creation and I also learned to forgive my friend. My friend and me and my family are all safe and will always be because of God’s omnipotence!

P.S.: Till date my friend doesn’t know that I was in self isolation, however, it doesn’t matter now!

  4. Evan what a beautiful and strong affirmation you have given us of living in the atmosphere of divine Love
To the degree I really have faith in this atmosphere of Love my fears will melt away and with those melting fears will come freedom from all anxiety, doubt, mistrust, lack, loneliness, anger or regret..
Freedom from ALL mortal error is the gift of living in the atmosphere of Love divine.

  5. Thank you Evan! I really appreciate how you use the term “neutralize”. “If those fears and beliefs are neutralized with spiritual truth…”. I looked up the meaning and found the following helpful. Neutralize; to render something ineffective or harmless by applying an opposite force or effect. Attributes are counteract, offset, cancel out, make ineffective, nullify, negate to wipe out. Truth is the great neutralizer. Thank you for everyone’s comments.

    1. Angie,
Thank you so much for pointing us to this inspiring article which is so helpful in praying for the world at this time as well as protection for ourselves and all around us.

  6. Thanks Evan. I keyed in on what you said about living fearlessly but, “not blindly, merely on positive faith or through wishful thinking, but in an understanding of God’s omnipotence and omnipresence.” That is so important. We have the most scientific reason to be fearless — we understand the powerful, unchanging, enduring principle of God, Good, Truth that is taking care of us ALL. “The same yesterday, today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:7) He took care of us yesterday, He is taking care of us today and He will take care of us tomorrow.

I need to trust God to remind me of these things, and also that He never created a harmful or destructive element, He cannot create anything but Good.

  7. Thanks so much Evan. As they always do…your emphasis goes right to the heart of the “matter”: stay spiritually minded!. Best wishes for the new year to you and all the view’s bloggers.

  8. Thank you, Evan for your beautiful metaphysically supportive, affirming message. It is a lovely reminder to keep our “porters” ever alert and doing that job more effectively. Thank you for the Grace.

  9. Thank you Evan and all commentors. We just have to be alert all the time to only accept those thoughts we know are imparted to us from God.
‘Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good, God has made man capable of this…..’
    S&H pg 393. Grateful for our teachings❣️

  10. F – FALSE
    E – EVIDENCE
    A – APPEARING
    R – REAL
Every time I think of “fear” I am reminded of this definition of the word.
Thanks, everyone, for your thoughts and thanks to Evan for reminding us how to THINK!
    Love and support to everyone….XOXOXO

  11. Am very grateful for this SpiritView, dear Evan, so like for every SV. All are so helpful. How awfully sweet and joyful this dog up here – haha – so nice!
I just read the article “contagion” in Mrs. Eddy’s book “Miscellaneous Writings” on p. 228. It has helpful thoughts like these: “If only the people would believe that good is more contagious than evil, since God is omnipresence, how much more certain would be the doctor’s success, and the clergymsn’s conversation of sinner. And if only the pulpit would encourage faith in God in this direction, and faith in Mind over all other influences governing receptivity of the body, theology would teach man as David taught: “Because though hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High thy habitation; there shall no evil befall the, neither shall any plage come night the dwelling.” I am grateful that our CS churches do teach like David did!
This whole article is not long, however profound and also helpful if you ponder it.
Thanks to all here for your inspiring comments!

  12. Thank you for the ideas in this little article. I especailly like when you say “When we live in a consciousness of Truth, we experience the benefits of that Truth”. That is a nice, simple little nugget to hold to and I appreciate all of your writings here!
