Ships don’t sink because of the water around them, they only go down when what’s around them gets in.

So, be sure to keep out of your thought any suggestions that would “sink your ship,” keep your thought afloat with boundless inspiration, joy and health.

  1. Thanks, Evan! Mrs. Eddy talks about the way to keep any “ship sinking suggestions” out of our thought: “Beloved Christian Scientists, keep your minds so filled with Truth and Love that sin, dease and death cannot enter them. It is plain that nothing can be added to the mind already full.”

  2. Mrs. Eddy also says, “Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts.” (p.261)

  3. My main nurse aide, Gaitree at such a young age began to come down with high blood pressure due to the fact that she doesn’t know how to stay afloat with the right way of prayer which is not asking for God’s help but realizing that God is always there helping her.

  4. A great visual for the reminder about what your boat must be filled with to keeping it floating, all day, not just for a while.
