Making it easy to help others

Here’s a cool short video that explains how one chap who wanted to help his neighbor in need led to hundreds of others ready and willing to do the same.

“The pizza shop that pays it forward”

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’ “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’

~ Jesus Christ, Matthew 25:34-40, NLT

  1. If I do understand it right, then normal customers of that pizza shop pay an extra 1 $ for one piece of pizza as a donation for people from the streets who have no money, that they get a pizza without money.
Oh, what a great and loving thought from God, the source of all supply, to feed a l l his flock.
Am grateful that I learn in Christian Science that God is infinite Love!
Thank you Evan for this loving reminder to help each other and love our neighbour as ourselves.

  2. This just touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes. What a great example of loving-kindness and the Christ in action. Thank you.

  3. Oh, that is Great! What blesses one, blesses All! What an inspiring way to start the day.
    Thank you, Evan

  4. This is so refreshing! In the midst of world news that seems to spout only the bad, selfish, arrogant stuff…….how wonderful to know that there really are good, kind, simple people who are reaching out to each other! God Bless!

  5. Thank you for sharing this video with us. It was very touching to me. Such a wonderful expression of the universal Love.

  6. What a fantastic idea this Pizza Parlor owner had. From what I gather the customers who can afford it would pay just $1 more for whatever Pizza bought, ether a slice or a whole Pizza so that a homeless person could have for free a meal well suited for his or hers hunger.
Can you just imagine the good that can be accomplished? Proving Mrs Eddy’s statement that the good that you do can not result in impoverishement.

  7. Wonderful happiness and expression of love. I just live down the road, hope I can get up there up there and make a contribution. Nice thoughts.

  8. Thank you Evan, I am touched by the good that is done! “Pay it forward” I could get behind that and will. Reminds me of “Random Acts of Kindness”. Truly, what blesses one blesses all!

  9. Great video and wonderful Bible citation showing that moment of Truth dawning on human thought, “. . . when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me.” God is Love and we are the expression of that Love.
