Live free and stay free

Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

~ Apostle Paul, Galatians 5:1

Christ has revealed the true nature of man as spiritual, at-one with God in Spirit. Accepting and understanding spiritual individuality liberates from bondage to physicality, matter, sin and disease.

“Stand fast therefore…” in understanding your spiritual reality! Know your individuality with God.

Refuse to get entangled with physical theories, mortal beliefs and material fears.

Live free and stay free!

  1. So very grateful for the Truth that Jesus Christ and Mrs Eddy revealed about God and what we truly are.
(S&H p. 595): “Time. Mortal measurements; limits, in which are summed up all human acts, thoughts, beliefs, opinions, knowledge; matter; error.”
(S&H p. 584): “The objects of time and sense disappear in the illumination of spiritual understanding, and Mind measures time according to the good that is unfolded. This unfolding is God’s day, and ‘there shall be no night there.'”
(S&H p. 598), “One moment of divine consciousness, or the spiritual understanding of Life and Love, is a foretaste of eternity.”

  2. Let us realise that “Christ HAS made us free”
The picture reaffirms for me that no matter what material mists
seem to enshroud us, and no matter what squelchy conditions SEEM to be underfoot,
this person is demonstrating his/her dominion over them. These conditions are not
the reality of God’s creation, and cannot drag us down. This person is obviously walking
in the light of Truth and Love, free as a bird, rejoicing – acknowledging the glory of God.
The mists of material seeming conditions will melt away in this spiritual consciousness
of Joy and dominion which is being expressed.

We can do the same, in whatever seems to assail us – we can rejoice and accept “the
glorious liberty of the children of God, and be free.” We can stick with the spiritual facts, dismiss the limitations and false claims of matter as illusions – mists – and do according to a line in hymn 278:
“walk with courage each step of the way”. We are assured that we will win.

  3. Do any of you remember the beautiful movie Born Free, about the lioness?
This morning’s contribution by Evan prompted me to recall the words from the theme song that went with the film. It hints at the true freedom of feeling the all encompassing center and circumference love of Love!

Born free, as free as the wind blows
As free as the grass grows
Born free to follow your heart

Live free, where beauty surrounds you
    The world still astounds you
Each time you look at a star

Stay free, where no walls divide you
You’re free as the roaring tide
So there’s no need to hide

Born free, and life is worth living
    But only worth living
    Cuz you’re born free.❤️

    1. Oh YES! Dear Caroline – I remember that song!
Beautiful!!! And so perfect for today’s message.
Thank you so much for sharing it and Thank you Evan
      and All.
I opened randomly the hymnal this morning and Hymn
      #376 came up:

“We thank Thee, heavenly Father, For Thy correcting rod,
Which guides us in our journey And leads us home to God.
It tells us not of anger, The weapon on mortals sway,
But Love divine, that helps us To keep the better way.
O may we tread the pathway, Nor ever turn aside,
Allured by ways of error, Whose paths are broad and wide.
Toward Thee, while pressing onward, The way will brighter grow,
For Thou throughout the journey Thy loving care wilt show.”

Many times the beautiful mountains outside the window here
“disappear” into the mist, haze, snowy blizzard. But did they
Really disappear? … or is it just mortal’s limited viewpoint
that tries to deceive into believing that they are not there. Like
the sun forever is shining, even through darkness or on a cloudy
day we may see it not … it’s warmth and light, like the Love of God
is always with us wherever we are or whatever we do. The
freedom of God’s Love illuminates the night and brings us liberty
from anything that would conceal our pathway to God/Good.
Have a Spiritual Reality kind of day, Everyone!

    1. Just listened to this weeks Sentinel Watch<
"What do you know about Christian Science?"
with Ann Melville. At first, I thought I don't need to listen. (This was the fog) then I was led to listen anyway and gleaned so much from it. It was very good.
Ann is the President of the Mother Church, The First Church of Christ Scientist in Boston this year.

  4. Thanks J for the article “Break Free” which was very helpful as I
really need to break free from all material limitations.

  5. Thank you Evan, thank you all. Thank you for the article. Let us get out from the mud of error and seek our freedom..
Hymns 582 is also a good reminder of our freedom.Let me share the first stanza with us.

The grace of God is always surrounding me,
Wherever I should wonder God will ever be.
Truth that makes us free I will know.
Love’s delight in me brightly glows:
The grace of God, forever surrounding me.

  6. Thanks Evan sir for wonderful message for being watchful moment by moment to be on one side that spiritual being not again n again tempted to see material senses and scene.Truth is the only way and obedience brings healing.
