  1. The Prophets knew it
    Jesus exampled it
    Mary Baker Eddy explained it
    Divine Science is it
Spirit View encourages us all to
Be our True humble Being as Gods expression.

So, Thank you Thank you Thank you Evan for our daily focus on Life as God has bestowed on us.
I am most truly grateful for you and everyone here .
    Happy Thanksgiving….Bx

  2. Thanks Evan :
l am most grateful to God for all His blessing that has bestowed on and my family.
He is omipresence, always everwhere, watching over each and every one of us.Therefore, i most greatful for His presence.

  3. Dear Evan and our Spirit View Family,
I am so grateful to God and the dedicated expounders of his Word, Jesus Christ, the apostles and prophets, and Mary Baker Eddy for such a priceless gift … it is our very life and reason for Be-ing.
I thank God many times a day for His everpresence in our lives, we can call upon in an instant and indeed think upon all the while. In awe …

    1. I love this comment about thanking God for His ever presence. I do that too because I love letting my Father-Mother know that just being with Him is most important to me. When my children, or a friend, call just to say Hello, just to check in for no particular reason I feel especially loved. Specific deeds or gifts call forth specific “thank yous” and I certainly appreciate those too. but it’s extra special to just have someone thinking of you just because
they love you. That’s how I feel about thanking God for His
Ever Presence even more than all Hus gifts.

I am so grateful for Spirit View and the heartfelt sharing here

  4. I’m grateful for Spiritview and Evan’s clear inspiration and gracious offerings that always hit the mark.

I zoomed last evening to watch a Thanksgiving offering at ChristianscienceTarrytown.com church and
was so inspired and grateful for the interfaith clergy along with a Christian Science Reader who all offered many Bible quotes about giving thanks to God and loving and forgiving our fellow persons all over the world even in war time no matter race, faith, background.

God being the One Mind, the message was the same, Love God and your fellowman.

The Tarrytown church has made a recording if you want to watch it yourself at the address above.

    Happy Giving Thanks!

    1. Thanks Linda for the reference to the Tarrytown Church event, I will look it up. I enjoy interfaith things. As you said, the underlying message of love and of trusting God is much the same.

I want to express my deep gratitude for SpiritView. Thank you Evan and all our lovely SV family here. It means so much to me. When I skip a day here or there I notice the difference in my attitude. Yesterday and the day before I let other “things” get in the way and my dose of SV was sorely missed. Much love to all of you and Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it. But we all have the consciousness of thanksgiving as our true state.

    2. Thank you Linda. Was unable to open, nor do the faith book.mark, because I don’t do zioom, but
this site is really very welcoming and thank you so much for sharing.

  5. I am very grateful for team Spirit and Evan to conduct us on Heaven’s road every day, to see more and more our natural
reflection of the “I am that I Am”, to take spiritual control of our being in every condition and situation. Blessings to all!
I like Maria Angelou’ statement when she said:
“ today, is The most Beautiful Day of my life”,
    Someone said why?, Maria said:
“ because I’ll never see it before”.

    1. Pp Thank you for the quotation from Maria Angelou. I must admit I found it rather
puzzling, so I looked it up and her reply was :”Because I have never seen it before”.
The translation you used was not quite understandable for me. Now I do understand
it. It is a lovely reply – each day is lovely, so we can always look forward to a beautiful day
every day, and give most grateful thanks to God even before we witness it.
So thank you very much, pP.

I am deeply grateful for all the good that God is unfolding for us
perpetually meeting our every human need, and bringing love
and beauty to light for us to enjoy always.

      1. Thanks Maggie for the correction! Yes indeed to
be aware of each new day that God creates and bless to us, His children.

  6. We all have so much to be grateful for. Some thoughts on gratitude I have
    come across:

“Gratitude can transform common days into Thanks giving,
turn routine jobs into joy and change ordinary opportunities
into blessings” – Willam Arthur Ward

“I’m thankful for so many things, but mostly G O D, without Him I’d have
nothing else to be thankful for”

“Gratitude is when memory is stoed in the heart and not in the mind”
    – Lionel Hampton

“Gratitude helps us to see what is there instead of what isn’t”

“Happiness isn’t about getting what you want all the time. It’s about loving
what you have and being grateful for it”

Thank you all for the sunshine you bring into my life. I am truly grateful,
    with Love

    1. Thank you Carol – I particularly like ” Gratitude helps us to see what is there instead of what
isn’t.” – and the following quote you gave us..

There is a citation, I am not sure where it comes form, but it says “Gratitude is riches,
and complaint is poverty”. Probably the Bible. The riches of Spirit never
deplete, and they are available to us all from the Divine source always.
      Much cause for gratitude.

      1. Thank you, dear Maggie. I am always grateful for your kind
        thoughts you share, too.
The citation I think you are referring to is from CS Hymn #249..
“O, when we see God’s mercy Wide spread in every place
And know how flows the fountain Of His unbounded grace,
Can we withhold a tribute, Forbear a psalm to raise
Or leave unsung one blessing, In this our hymn of praise? …
Our gratitude is riches, Complaint is poverty, ..
Our trials bloom in blessings They test our constancy.
O, life from joy is minted, An everlasting gold,
True gladness is the treasure That grateful hears will hold”.

Another treasure: “Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is
like wrapping a present and not giving it” – William Arthur Ward<

        1. Yes, of course, that’s it, dear Carol – thank you. And I love the one you have just
added. It is so important to express gratitude and not just keep the spiritual
treasures we have received to ourselves.

  7. Thank you dear Evan for the daily inspirational feast of Soul that you so lovingly prepare and so graciously serve to this gathering of seekers who hunger and thirst for spiritual sustenance. We are all blessed beyond measure by Spiritview’s fruitful harvest!
With deepest gratitude and love, a Happy Thanksgiving to all!

  8. All of you here, reading daily, contributing daily–all sharing such wonderful, encouraging thoughts . . .for you being in my life, I thank you! (as I celebrate 83 years of life in Christian Science)

    1. Amen to that. Thank you D for that reminder to support this platform which we all love dearly.

  9. Thank you Manuela for the reference to “The Amazing Power of Gratitude” by Pierre Pradervand. It is so helpful to view every circumstance as a “clarion call” to be grateful, and to keep thought focused on good.

  10. Thank you Evan and this wonderful SpiritView family for all of your contributions and support of Christian Science. I wish each of you a Happy Thanksgiving with much gratitude from me for all your love for our Cause.

  11. i am so grateful for my connection to Christian Science and to you all through Spirit View. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

  12. Thank you, thank you, Evan, for this wonderful SpiritView website, and for all the dear people who post here on it. It is wonderful to be able to unite here in prayer and gratitude. My heart is truly overflowing with joy and praise today. We truly are greatly blessed.

  13. I am thankful for you, Evan, for the prayerful work that you do, and for your dedication to bringing SpiritView to us all. It’s like a daily treatment.

  14. Thank you, Evan and all! A blessed Thanksgiving to every one of you–much gratitude for all the inspiration that flows from all the emails.
    Blessings,
    Karen

  15. Here in Germany we already celebrated our Wednesday Testimony meeting at 7 pm our time.
I thanked for the inspiring reading from the desk. And I thanked God for the understanding that the reading is not a personel looking for some passages from our Pastor, Bible and SH, but it is rather inspired messages from God to us all. The whole Bible and Ms. Eddy’s textbook SH are great messages from God to His loved idea Man! The more we study Christian Science – the weekly lesson sermon for instance – the more we understand our loving God!
And tomorrow on Thursday our church also celebrates the Thanksgiving Sermon with hopefully a lot of guests from other Hamburg CS churches, whom we invited. And they invited us, as they have the Thanksgiving Service on another day.

Dear Evan, like all other SpiritView Friends here, I am eternally grateful for your daily spiritual food you are preparing for us so lovingly! It tastes heavenly good!

And I am delightfully reading your inspirations, dear SV friends, thank you all very much!

    1. Dear Uta, Your sweet comment reminded me of this:

“At times, our own light [seems to go] out and is rekindled by a spark from
another person. Each of us has cause to think [and THANK] with deep
gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us” – Albert Schweitzer

Thank you, Evan, and all SpiritViewers who so very much help keep us
burning our candles brightly. It means everything to me to cherish these
spiritual blessings, especially when giving Thanks on a special day …
which is, of course, Every Day!

      1. Dearest Carol, I do not quite understand the passage by Albert Schweitzer. May be because I am German and only learnt the lovely English language and wasn’t born into it. Am not sure whether you could explain it a bit more simple?

        1. Sure, Uta. I will try. I believe he means that sometimes we are feeling
down or depressed. Our thought is not reflecting God’s Goodness at
the moment… “rekindling” means to start a fire up again. That is, to
reignite with, as we call it…the Truth instead of where life may Seem to
be in a state of darkness or sadness. Like if there is a fire in a fireplace
and the fire is dimming, or going out, but logs are still waiting to be
burned but there still is a spark. When someone comes along
to re-start the fire up again, puts effort into refueling it, rekindling it…
the logs start burning again and the light and warmth, the Truth of
Love and Goodness is again shining.
I think Evan does this with his wonderful posts, as does the person
who so beautifully coordinates the message, with the graphic and
the commenters add to this lovely warmth and growth, giving fresh
inspiration for all, with an inspiring spiritual outlook or “rekindling”
of our thoughts into a revived awakening of the Truth.
That is a bit long-winded, but hope it has made it a bit more simple to
          understand.
          I hope that helps?

  16. Uta, I had meant where you had written, “I am ‘delightedly’ reading your inspirations, dear SV
friends”. … The – delightedly – reminded me of the quote about sharing our light and by
being Inspired by it. That is what I had meant. I hope that helps with what I had meant by it.

    1. Yes it does, Carol. And also your former explanations are very interesting. I like to read your beautiful and inspiring comments. Thank you very much therefore!♡

  17. I have been reading Spiritview for many years continue to be impressed with the love that is expressed by all. Many thanks to Evan and all the wonderful people who take time to contribute to this. It is such a joy to look forward to it each day. With loving thanks, Peggy.

Oh yes, Happy Thanksgiving to all.

  18. Our gratitude is riches,
    Complaint is poverty,.
    Our trials bloom in blessings,
    They test our constancy.
O, life from joy is minted,
    An everlasting gold,
    True gladness is the treasure
    That grateful hearts will hold.
Hymn 249 and 250: words written by Vivian Burnett

When we call a friend for prayerful help, we don’t focus on the material or negative aspects of the case; S&H, Page 125: The astronomer will no longer look up to the stars,–he will look out from them upon the universe;…..matter will finally be proved nothing more than a mortal belief, wholly inadequate to affect a man…….. Error will be no longer used in stating truth…..mortal mind will be without form and void,

WHAT DOES GOD KNOW ABOUT THE ‘CASE’?
As human thought changes from one stage to another of conscious pain and painlessness, sorrow and joy, –from fear to hope and from faith to understanding,–the visible manifestation will at last be man governed by Soul, not by material sense.
THIS IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.
