Refresh and be refreshed

September 17, 2015 | 8 comments

“The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.”

~ Proverbs 11:25, NLT

The love we share comes from God, the source of all love to begin with. So, to give love is to receive love for we cannot give what we are not receiving.

You have love! You have an abundance of it coming from God to share with others.

Share generously! Give generously.

Give to receive.

It sounds backwards, but it works.

  1. This message is very refreshing, Evan and just what I needed this morning. I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and everyone who shares and gives with their comments that I always find so helpful on these spirit ‘views’. In your giving, you help make me feel part of this wonderful on line community of healing and peaceful thoughts and that companionship is so appreciated.
We truly are all unique members of God’s Universal family.
(Tobias) ~ I had just read your comment from the other day (I hadn’t received that blog) regarding home. I pray things are working out for you and you are manifesting your true home in harmony and in God’s love.

  2. Thanks, Evan! Thanks, Carol! Yes, we really are so Grateful for this Spiritview Blog! It provides a sense of Community and shared Love for so many of us! Thanks for all the Giving, Evan, and Everyone that Comments, so that so many can receive and give back!

  3. So often we think that our efforts come personally from us. I am realizing more and more that the things I have thought have come from my efforts with inspiration have nothing to do with me or the false idea of me. It seems it is a matter of layers of thought be exposed and removed.

  4. I have found this so true especially with store clerks. When I greet them (especially when they seem a little grumpy) with a pleasant smile and kind word you can see their face light up and I always receive a smile back. Makes my day! Just one example of Love being reflected in love as Mrs. Eddy puts it.

  5. I can’t tell you how much your blogs mean to me. Being on medication I can’t qualify for a practitioners help, so each blog is lie a treatment. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

  6. Dear Carol; The blog is from “WHAT IS YOUR MENTAL STANDPOINT?” and I thank you for your
Sincere thoughts for me. No, not yet but it’s in the works. Truth conquers, never doubt that.
There is still a Nazi attitude in humans. It wasn’t licked in WW11. It’s here in the USA and the belief of it is still holding on until we destroy it with Love. As C/S says and I paraphrase; “To Love the hell out of it.” AND THAT’S OUR JOB.

  7. Several years ago, when we lived in the country ,where my husband was the sole teacher at the local school ,we had two milking cows .From these two cows we sent cream to the dairy factory where it became butter.
Because these animals produced a good supply of milk in the off-season when the cream was not collected I made home-made butter and would sell it to church friends when I was taken to church each week.
I was a new member of the Christian Science church in the city about 18 kilometers away. The church was preparing to have a Christian Science lecture and in the church foyer was a box where we could put our contributions. Feeling so grateful for the opportunity to come to church each week I put all the money I’d been paid for the butter sales into the box.
Returning home after the service I was not able to puchase any extra luxuries for our Sunday lunch, but nothing was said .We didn’t feel deprived. I had been tempted to feel a bit guilty but soon negated that suggestion.
Times were difficult. I was on a tight spending budget, but inwardly so grateful that I’d been able to give.
From that time things loosened up, any tension over money-matters eased , my joy in giving never ceased and I can honestly say I have never felt deprived or lacking anything in any way.
This was a great lesson for me.

    1. Bid, what an inspirational and uplifting experience you shared, pouring out the oil of gratitude so to speak. Thank you.
