Many people are tempted to believe that they need to go to a doctor for a physical examination to learn more about themselves. If so, the doctor will exam their physical body, give them a physical report, and then likely recommend some type of material regimen to adjust what they perceive to be wrong.
But there is so much more to a person than a physical body!
What a doctor sees through the physical eye is but minuscule compared to what constitutes a person’s health, wellness, and individuality.
We are spiritual beings living spiritual lives. In truth, we live in the body of Spirit which is in perfect health. This body does not need to be materially adjusted to be healthy. It doesn’t need a pill to get stronger. It already has within itself everything necessary for good health.
If we are suffering, it’s an opportunity to learn more about our body in Spirit where all is well. The more we learn about our spiritual individuality, the happier and healthier we are. Spiritual healing happens.
So, if you’d like to know more about yourself, go to the source of yourself—to Spirit—to determine what is real and true. Seek Spirit’s examination.
What you find in Spirit will be encouraging, uplifting, strengthening, and healing. It will take away the suffering.

Thank you so very much for today’s SpiritView, Evan! It is utmost helpful this morning as I had to correct something in my thoughts. Yes somebody think they must be checked through with their health like a car must be checked through once a year.
Once I had a small but clear glimps of Truth. Decades ago when I thought to take a pill so that the pain goes and I can do my errands I visited a church service. And during the reading I suddenly got the glimps how silly it is that a pill (matter) can really heal. It freed me in that moment. Through constant and deeper study of CS meanwhile I learn to understand what Evan makes clear, that we are totally spiritual and are sustained by our Father-Mother God!
And Barbara states it so well. I just want to ad to Genesis 1:31 that all what God, who is only Good made reminds very good, as God and His creation is eternal, forever very good!
Want to say “remains”. Instead of reminds.
Thanks as always for your wise words Evan. Lockdown, although not easy, is a good time for attending to maintain a healthy spirit.
This mornings refection on our spiritual selfhood is really applicable for me today.
I have been given negative news from recent exams.
I’ve been advised of bad test results.
Seeing the spirit exhibited here every morning gives the inspiration I most need to correct the effects of the education derived from the physical senses.
Lift me up oh my dear God. Let me once again soar over the earth with wings of Thy Spirit. Return my youth that I may continue as a champion of Thy cause. In every way make this day a day of graceful and enduring ability to conquer sin, disease and death in myself and in my fellow man.
My heart needs be strong, my feet supporting, my aims pure and loving. All systems responding to Thy glory. I have put Thee first, in my past have I strayed. Now shall I pay the uttermost farthing? As so it seems necessary so do it unto me, but not to offend Thy pure religion.
All Thy paths are before me. All Thy Love will sustain me through this trial. I bless Thy children with whom Thou hast given me for reassurance and loving support. Many prayers have they prayed for my benefit. Unselfish and healing prayers. Revealing the very foundations of Life and abundantly so.
I go Thy way and will keep Thy cause. Thy will be done. Words are vain that end in sadness.
God is Good, His mercy endures for ever. God is Love and in Him is heavenly abiding.
Peace be unto this congregation, as with them I go to do Thy will. Our God is Good.
Thanks be to Thee for every trial that ends in healing through Thy truth and in the light of Thy pure Love. Amen
Such beautiful, healing truths you shared, David. I love how Evan said there is ONE examiner. So to my list of names for God , I’ll add The Great Examiner. I also love how The Bible calls God the Great Physician. I had to have my blood pressure taken recently and it was a bit high. The nurse took it again as I was knowing there is Perfect God, so perfect pressure. The only pressure is to do God’s will. She was happy to see it back to normal the second time. God, the Master of the Uni-verse, the Merciful One, is so good! Your SpiritView family is with you!

ps When I read your beautiful message I’m afraid I lost sight of your challenge. Evan’s message and so many of the messages here are the medicine and the remedy. With what you shared one can see that you are dwelling in such a holy place. That place of Love is an impervious armor to anything unlike itself. For those of us who are struggling with health issues we need to start meditating upon and stating this truth without ceasing, or at least whenever challenged with aggressive reports and symptoms..! Gradually fear and doubt will be gone and healing manifested!.

This gives wonderful inspiration to the demand Mrs Eddy makes in My. 128: “Ofttimes examine yourselves, and see if there be found anywhere a deterrent of Truth and Love, and “hold fast that which is good.”
Trudy your comments remind me of what Mrs. Eddy said to the National Christian Science Association about the need for self examination. First she told them to work out individually the sublime ends of human life.
She said: “ To accomplish this, you must give much time to self-examination and correction;…”.Mis.137:23-24

Yes, dear David, do soar over the earth on the wings of Spirit! You are the magnificent embodiment of Spirit’s qualities, and not a declining physical construct. As Evan so beautifully reiterates, as we go to our Source for true identification, we are freed from the constraints of false material judgments. Dwell in the tabernacle of Spirit and be free!

I’ve learned in CS that only God can say what is true about His own dear creation — man and the universe. What other examination or evaluation could we need? And I loved Cathryn’s story about a blood pressure exam. She knew that no one could see anything in her, on her or about her that God didn’t see.
We can also be tempted to learn what is true out in the world and in the political landscape by examining or evaluating it materially. But in the same way as Evan describes, we can go to the source, Spirit, for a true report on the unchanging nature of God’s universe always expressing.
I read in this week’s bible lesson on Spirit, “And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.” (1 Corin 12:5)

I once heard the idea of an iceberg when praying/affirming truths towards demonstration. It was helpful to my thought and perhaps yours. Never cease praying… like an iceberg-you can see it’s “peak” but cannot see what lies underwater. Keep working..to pray and affirm- prayers and truth represent the ☀️ sun- and the warmth/heat it provides. It will melt the ice and evil suggestion.
