Seek the worthy goal

“Let love be your highest goal!”

~ I Corinthians 14:1, NLT

There is no higher place to be, no more worthy goal to pursue, no other ideal state to abide in than love.

God is Love. When you have Love you have everything worth having.

  1. I just noticed that the two round curves in the rock formation going down to the water form a heart.
    Very fitting. ❤️

    1. Yes, M, it does. Love that! There is also a space where the heart is open which to me
signifies sharing and the infinity of love, like with waves of the ocean, endlessly
pouring forth it’s power, gentleness ~ giving and receiving throughout eternity.
Nothing can stop it. Throughout the years, there have been so many songs written
and sung about love and hymns sending forth comfort… Love is all around. A title
that is pertinent to our times and all times, “What the world needs now, is love, sweet love”…

  2. A wise man once told me (he told me last year and I try to remember it often), as Christian Scientists “we do not judge, criticize, or condemn anyone for anything. We are in the business of loving. Love, Love, Love.”

Thank you very much Evan for today’s helpful thought and lovely photo.M

    2. Thank you Paul, such a lovely little story for girls and boys both little and tall, I look forward to sharing ♡

  3. A beautiful thought & illustration! My aunt always loved emphasizing everything in threes. About error she would state emphatically: It’s a lie, lie, lie!!!
More so with Love: Love, Love, Love!!!!!!
    Thank you all.

  4. We are made by Love, to express Love, to behold Love in all things. Safe and surrounded by Love, and filled with Love. Thank you!

  5. Twenty some years ago there was a Christian Science ;lecture entitled “If you are not loving, you are not living”. How true and enriching.

      1. This is a “not to be missed, must save” lecture but I don’t think it is where “If you’re not loving, you’re not living” is from. I found this nugget long ago but I don’t know where. Anyone else know? Thanks! (=

      2. Verlee,
Nearly every day I go back to read previous posts. Today, Wednesday, I did so and found your reference to the lecture “Loving to Live.” Thank you SO MUCH for sharing it. It is such a wonderful lecture. Part of God’s provision of inspiration for today!
        Thanks again. Barb

  6. Mrs Eddy wrote the beautiful ‘Mothers Evening Prayer’ which says ‘wait, and Love more’.
What a lovely thought to precede all that we do, say or think. Thank goodness we can never run out of Divine Love. Thank you Evan once again for sharing that Love with us all.❣️

  7. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
    John 13:34 KJV

This just popped up on my phone. Verse of the day from my Bible app. Coincidence I don’t think so!
Love all the comments on Love!! I just love love and am so grateful for Spirit View and all of the treasures that are shared by Evan and all!! Much Love❤
