Thank you Evan and all. I’m struck by the absolute beauty, individualized perfection and delicate intricacies of each leaf. If we, like plants, are ideas in the consciousness of God/Mind/intelligence, why does God’s expression of perfection seem so effortless and uncomplicated with plants…hmm…maybe no sense of I/ego in “plant world”. 🙂 Thoughts anyone?

    1. Yes, I think plants express individuality and beauty in – just – being. Like a
butterfly, they do not have any idea how beautiful they are. They do not
compare themselves to others or try to stand out amongst the others, for
there is no competition to be like or – better – than another plant. They are
totally Not influenced by what other plants look like, but just express how
they were created. A flower/plant may wither away in season, but the Idea
of that plant lives on in thought or captured in a photo and it’s beauty is never
diminished, but is everlasting. Flowers don’t “get old” or need to prop themselves
up to try to appear to be like they were when first emerged in spring. They do
not try to impress, but just – are. And like with the quote above – “Who has
the greatest possessions? He who wants/has the least”. Flowers/plants make
our world filled with such loveliness and appreciating the little things in life, we
definitely do not need rich possessions… or material “things” to make us happy.

  5. I totally agree, J! I think Mr. Simon’s article and the definitions of “I, or Ego,” “I Am,” and “Mind” in the Glossary and Recapitulation in Science and Health make this perfectly clear. Thank you so much for sharing this article and your thoughts!

  6. So grateful to God, SpiritView and for the fellowship found here! Also grateful for the new things we learn each day of Mind and it’s ideas!

  7. Thank you Evan for all your good thoughts on Spirit View.
I just listened to one on YouTube on Defending yourself from Mental Malpractice which was SO helpful on that and on how to be a law to yourself. I only realized very recently that mental malpractice is not from someone else but rather from what I do to myself if I have any thoughts but good. The media, books, and the past give very compelling stories of evil which activate the carnal mind. And I always wondered how to be a law to myself but never knew how, so thank you also for that teaching.
