  1. To wait on God is to trust Her in all your ways.
Many thanks to Mrs. Eddy and Christ Jesus for their tried and true listening ear on behalf of all humanities sake.

  2. Divine timing! I’ve been awake off and on all night, struggling with a decision that I can’t seem to make. There seems to be a lot of confusion wrapped in ugly desperation trying to paralyze me although I have been praying, and listening for the right guidance for weeks. Perhaps fear, the root needs to be plucked first. I’m tired because I keep forgetting that I need love and support as much as I love and support others. I feel depleted but that can’t be true because I am about my Father’s business. On a road trip this weekend to help a friend who had experienced a sudden need several states away, I nearly rolled my SUV when I attempted to pass another vehicle. It was a miracle that I was able to right the violent swerving and place all 4 tires back on the road. Interestingly, I was not a bit shaken. I heard clearly the still small voice telling me to “move to the far right lane” and “slow my roll!”. Why is it easy to listen sometimes and feel completely deaf and forsaken at others? Speak Lord, I am receptive.
    Okay…here it comes: Hymn 291 verse 3
    As a little child relies
On a care beyond its own,
    Being neither strong nor wise,
Will not take a step alone,
Let me thus with thee abide,
As my Father, Friend and Guide.
And from Hymn 237 verse 1
O may we be still and seek Him,
    seek with consecration whole,
Listening thus to hear the message,
Far from sense and hid in soul.
    Hymn 134 final line.
Thou leadest me by unsought ways,
Thou turn’st my mourning into praise.

Wait on the LORD. Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord!
    Thank you, FaRther!!!!!!! Psalm 27:14

    1. you csn of your own self do nothing. you have sovereign power to think and act rightly. One Love and God’s man knows how to love correctly.
      you are blessed

  3. Thank you, Love, for sharing your heart..
I had forgotten about hymn 291. That speaks to me this morning, just exactly my heart’s yearning put into words and music. To know God as a Father, Friend, and Guide brings tears to my eyes. Our fellow man can and does fill all those rolls at times but, to look to God first to meet each of those needs as He will is my true heart’s desire.
I have struggled for many years with purpose. Some people seem to have very clear direction in their lives as to their individual purpose. This morning, before I even got out of bed, the peaceful idea came to me of Jesus going about doing good, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel. That’s my purpose, too. Being one with my Father, being the teacher who shows up for the ready student – wherever that may be, and sharing the good news of the truth about man and his inseparability from God, going as and where I am led….. sounds like divine service and blessing to me.
Thank you SpiritView family! for attending this daily family meeting, sharing love and support, as we all travel this road together, arm in arm.

  4. Thank you. So much, Evan for these daily uplifting thoughts. I read spirit view every day and keep your words with me throughout the day.

  5. Today’s message brought to mind a well-loved verse from Proverbs 3:5-6:

“Trust in the Lord with ALL thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding,
In ALL thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.”

It means to rely on Him for everything. I once heard in a Sentinel podcast that we are actually made/designed to rely on God. We can of our own selves do no-thing. Humility.
    Thanks to Evan and all.

    1. Thank you very much, dear Rose
I also love that verse from Proverb very much. And I agree fully and wholeheartedly with your inspiring comment!
Your second paragraph is so lovely, that we are designed by God to rely on Him. I love that very much indeed, as it points to our deep connection to our Father-Mother Love. For me it sounds very natural that we are made to rely on God, because of what you mention, namely that we can do nothing on ourselves in Humility. Thats what also Christ Jesus said so humbly.

Thank you deeply, dear Evan for your so healing SpiritView!

Thanks so very much, dear J for the very helpful articles. It’s so very blessing for us all! Lots of Love!!♡

  6. My prayer some daily good to do to thine for Thee; an offering pure of Love, where to God lead me.
The last verse of him 257 is such a comfort and powerful prayer. It is good to know that God leads us in our day to follow His/Her divine direction in all we do and in all of our interactions with others. This blesses everyone. As Mrs.Eddy reminds us divine love, alone, governs man. This is the day the Lord have made be glad give thanks rejoice… Hymn 342

  7. Wonderful thoughts shared here on patience. Thank you All.

Some thoughts I’ve come across on waiting patiently:

“Knowing trees I understand the meaning of patience.
Knowing grass I can appreciate persistence” – Hall Borland

    “Two things define you:
Your patience when you have nothing and your Attitude when you have
everything” [Of course, with God, we always have whatever we need]

“Have patience with all things, But first of all, with yourself”

“Patience is also a form of action” – Auguste Rodin [I believe he is the
    artist who sculpted The Thinker]

With God directing our paths, our patience is rewarded in ways we may
    not have even thought about.

  8. “Wait patiently…” are the inspired words from the Bible and MBE. Frustration is human will and sentiment attempting to rush God through our “quiet obedience”. We must know that God’s power is omnipresent. As Adam Dickey notes in his pamphlet, “God’s Law of Adjustment”…God’s law is always to correct and govern, to harmonize and adjust. God’s work is perfect in its flow or order of events. Seeking Truth rightously is the prayerful part of “waiting patiently”. It requires us to examine and know what is rightous, or God’s will, rather than outlining humanly that which we believe to be the proper solution.
