Are you willing to change?

“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”

~ Viktor Frankl

You should never feel stuck. There is always something you can do that helps. You can always change your point of view.

  1. Yes, at times we do feel stuck when we can not change a situation we are challenged with. But seeking God’s help is always the answer, because we can never be in any situation which is beyond God’s control. “Everything is under the control of the one Mind, even God.
    Since God is the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-acting, all-loving and all-wise, all powerful, all good, He is so dependable and he never leaves us half way, but pulls us out from any so called “Stuck situations” or challenges which seem difficult to change. He can make an angel entertained unawares. He can bring a turnaround in any situation. So I go to God and He adjusts and governs all those things which seem so challenging to me. I listen to His voice.

    I also pray with Hymn No.309 … “Feed My Sheep” by Mary Baker Eddy.

    “Shepherd show me how to go over the hillside steep,
    How to gather, how to sow, How to feed Thy sheep;
    I will listen for Thy voice, Lest my footsteps stray;
    I will follow and rejoice all the rugged way.

    Thou wilt bind the stubborn will, Wound the callous breast,
    Make self-righteousness be still, break earth’s stupid rest.
    Strangers on a barren shore, lab’ring long and lone,
    We would enter by the door and Thou know’st Thine own;

    So, when day grows dark and cold, tear or triumph harms,
    lead thy lambkins to the fold, take them in thine arms;
    Feed the hungry, heal the heart, Till the morning’s beam;
    White as wool, ere they depart, Shepherd wash them clean.

    Yes if we lean on God we are always blessed.

  2. When we are willing to yield to God’s will, our Father -Mother always shows us the way. Being open to finding a new perspective or to look at a situation from a different point of view is so helpful and with a spiritual view, knowing that God is leading us to a solution and to healing thoughts, we can trust Divine Mind to open the way. I have seen this happen in so many ways in my life! Thanks for the reminder to keep our thoughts open to God’s goodness and infinite strength and power.

  3. I spent years in change management and we would often say, “It is not whether change was going to happen, but whether you were going to be in control of how that change would happen.” Of course in spiritual development of Christian Science the control of your own individual growth and experience was not exactly what you did per say, but whether or not you open up to the power of divine guidance which is always perfect. Even though I knew this, it was hard for me to get out of my own way and let God guide me to the perfect solution. Learn to trust in the divine principle of life, truth & love is possibly the single most important experience of our lives to share with others. Thank you Evan for this potent thought.

  4. Excellent point about changing our point of view. That is all that can be changed. There is only one universe, and it is complete, immutable, eternal, spiritual, wholly good, created by Light and It’s intelligent and harmonious forces. It is a false view of God’s universe that renders the suggestions that this universe appears to be material, discordant and subject to space, time, birth, maturity and decay.

    I predict that in the not-too-distant future even the so-called Science of physics will no longer define a universe made up of matter but of light.

  5. Just what I needed today for an apparent discordant relationship stuck in neutral. That having to “change my point of view” is a challenge, but with Evan’s sentence and the wonderful paragraphs above I know I can do it. God is in control, not any mortal personality. This is a foot in my back (my thinking) to give all over to our loving Father. Much gratitude for this.

  6. sue : Folks that I know who read SpiritView think that you are me!
    Would you be willing to use the first letter of your last name after your first name?
    I’d appreciate it. Thanks so much. If not, no biggie!

    (I enjoy and thank you for your comments.)

  7. Thank you Evan, for this sentence to think about. But it is so simple. We can see that in the inspiring explanation of Nergish – thank you very much for your very inspiring insights, Nergish.

  8. Yes, change one’s point of view from matter, material man, the counterfeit, to Spirit, God’s spiritual man, the compound idea, the image and likeness of God, perfect thought, perfect man. Again and again, thank you Evan for “Spirit View”.
