Wiping all pain away

October 9, 2025 | 22 comments

I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people!  He will live with them, and they will be his people.  God himself will be with them.  He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain.  All these things are gone forever.

~ Revelation 21:3,4, NLT

God’s “home” is divine Love.  It’s with us now.  With you, me, and everyone.  It’s found through spiritual sense.

Enter your “home” with God through spiritual sense and find eternal peace.  It’s a place where suffering is no more.

  1. Psalm 23 says…”Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our life and we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
House of the Lord is the consciousness of God’s allness and Gods goodness. In this allness of God, no pain, no discomfort nor disease, nor pain can creep in. All is the presence, perfection, power, bliss, peace, love, calmness and divinity of God. We can rest and rejoice in this constant and ever present care and protection of our divine father mother God.
Thanks Evan for this daily spiritual feast

    1. Thanks Nergish for your comforting, uplifting comment. Our home is our consciousness, the consciousness of Love, where we abide, and the place from which we see the world as it really is, God’s world, with the “constant and ever present care and protection” that you mentioned.

I read somewhere that since we are completely spiritual we can only be subject to or affected by spiritual laws, never by material so-called laws. I found that very reassuring.

  2. “It’s never too late to experience healing” By Michelle Boccanfuso Nanouche. (Faced with joint degeneration in her hands and thinking it was too late to do anything about it, today’s contributor found complete healing and regeneration through a fresh perspective on how God cares for all of creation.) 1. Many thanks, dear J for this lovely article with a wonderful testimony.

Thank you very much, Evan for today’s SpiritView with such a helpful toppic and that inspiring passage from Science & Health.

Reading SV and all your so loving comments comforts me a lot – thanks very much indeed! ❤️

  3. I’m living in the house of God, The consciousness of Love (hymn 465). Lovely hymn based on the 23rd Psalm.

    1. Linda I see from the timing of your comment and my previous one above that we were both simultaneously thinking about the fact that we all live in the consciousness of Love. The One Mind at work, love that!

  4. I love “God’s ‘home’ is divine Love. It’s with us now”. Thank you Evan, for this
fresh inspiration – like looking through a clear window of soul into our True home ….
God’s likeness and being. I am reminded of the sweet children in your Sunday School
video (can’t seem to find it in search in the archives), but it brought out about how
we need to keep our thought clear and not muddied by a false picture, but to see our
true likeness as God has created us. I am also reminded of Mrs. Eddy’s hymn #254,

“O’er waiting heartstrings of the mind There sweeps a strain,
Low, sad, and sweet, whose measures bind The power of pain,
And wake a white-winged angel throng Of thoughts, illumined
By faith, and breathed in raptured song, With love perfumed …
Then His unveiled, sweet mercies show Life’s burdens light,
I kiss the cross and wake to know A world more bright” ….

Being at home with God’s dear presence Is at home with eternal peace.

      1. Thank you, RobertH for sharing the link. It is so adorable,
but not quite the one I had in mind. The one I was
referring to, had the children at a window and cleaning it.
Thank you for the attempt though.

          1. Thank you Carol for mentionong the lovely Videos with Evan ‘s sweet Sundayschool pupels. They are both so true and awesome!! And thank you RoberH! ♡

          2. Yes! That’s it… Thank you RobertH. That’s
the one. So sweet it is. I thought of it right
away when I saw the photo above.

  5. The photo of the woman cleaning her windows made me think of how we’re taught to be a pure, clear transparency for Truth (by wiping away material beliefs) so the power of that Truth can pour into us unobstructed, then outward to our surroundings.

  6. These verses from Revelation 21 and Psalm 23 remind me of a healing I’d like to share. I was sitting under a pine tree in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains one Sunday afternoon reading Science and Health, when I felt a sting on the back of my neck. I saw a wasp fly away, and began to pray. The angel thought that came to me was, “Oh, I don’t live on a material planet in a material location in a material body. I live in the consciousness of Love ~~ Love’s consciousness of its own allness and my reflection of this consciousness. The pain vanished, and there was no redness or swelling from the sting.
    Praise divine Love❣️

    1. That is a lovely healing, Carolyne, proving Love’s consciousness. I had a
similar experience the other day when clipping back some spent wildflowers
where bees were buzzing all around. I did not get stung but was knowing
they were enjoying the day like I was, and could do no harm. One had
found it’s way under my top and it was clear that it was not happy and
kept buzzing, trying to get out. I kept knowing it could do no harm and
was able to free it without it stinging. – “All of God’s creatures, moving
in the harmony of Science, are harmless, useful, indestructible” (S&H
      pg 514: 28-30)
