"You can be healed" podcast

August 1, 2007 | 2 comments

My first podcast is online. Produced for tmcyouth.com, “You can be healed,” was posted this evening and is available for anyone to listen to.

Here’s the intro…

When Christian Science lecturer Evan Mehlenbacher was a kid, he stepped on a rusty nail and it almost went clear through his foot. He was scared, but as he thought about what he knew first hand about the healing power of God, he knew he could trust God to heal him.

Evan shares step by step his thought process, how he dealt with his fears, what he learned about God and the end result. He worked it out through prayer and shows how your prayers can heal you, too.

You can listen to the audio online, or download it to your MP3 player or ipod. Its 15 minutes long.

Enjoy!

  1. I listened to your encouraging podcast #14. Your explanation of “Science,” as in “Jesus beheld in Science,” was simple and right to the point. You said it meant “in his understanding of God.”

I’m glad you successfully passed through this trial of your faith at the early age of 16 (I suppose 16, as a junior in HS). A validation of the reality of Spirit at any age is meaningful, but to get that absolute trust going as a kid is a life-changing blessing. I know from my own early teen encounter.

Your voice is kind and earnest.

Because of my dial-up connection I would get about 12 seconds of the audio at a time, and then something called “buffering” would occur while the audio built up so I could hear another 12 seconds. Next time I think I’ll just get the audio started and leave the room for about five minutes. By the time I return, if I set the progress gauge back to the beginning, I should be able to sit down and hear the audio straight through. This is my theory, anyway!

You’re a teacher, that’s for sure. Thanks for being yourself.

  2. You are welcome.

I think you have a better idea about letting the audio download before listening to it. Should go better that way!
