1. Thank you, Evan. Trusting the Eternal in everything seems to be more important than ever before these days. I have not had TV for over 15 years, probably closer to 20 years. I haven’t missed it, ever. When I hear news reports while visiting friends and family and their TVs are blaring, I must admit, it gets a little scary. I am grateful for God’s love and care, for Mary Baker Eddy, and for Christian Science.

2. The August 4, 2026 SpiritView “Be wise about what you listen to” is SO helpful! Thank you for that, Evan. I found it while looking at older SV posts. It is just what I needed! Let discord of every name and nature be heard no more from any TV, friend’s or family’s!

3. Reminded me of Hymn 359

   Trust the Eternal, when the shadows gather,
   When joys of daylight seem so like a dream;
   God the unchanging, pities like a father:
   Trust on and wait, the daystar yet shall gleam.

   Trust the Eternal, for the clouds that vanish
   No more can move the mountains from their base
   Than sin’s illusive wreaths of mist can banish
   Light from His throne or loving from His face.

   Trust the Eternal, repent in meekness
   Of that heart’s pride which frowns and will not yield,
   Then to thy child-heart shall come strength in weakness,
   And thine immortal life shall be revealed.

   1. Thank you, RobertH, for both the SV link and writing out the hymn. So kind of you! The author of the hymn is William P. McKenzie. He was a student of Mrs. Eddy, who did wonderful things. He was a practitioner and teacher. He was president of TMCc and he sat on the Bible Lesson Committee, in addition to being a poet. It’s nice to have both to refer to right at hand.
