What do you see ahead of you? Is it good? Is it hopeful? Is it Life? Or is it death?
We prepare for what we see. To live happy and healthy, it’s important that we see life ahead us, our eternal Life with God!
I explain how in this vlog that was filmed at Dead Horse Ranch State Park, near Cottonwood, AZ in May 2026.
What a perfect shake-up of focus this morning Evan….and I really needed it too! I’m spending 3 days alone at present as my husband visits a good friend. But you’ve made me realise I’m not alone. Instead I have more opportunity to relish the ALL of good that surrounds me.
This vlogs message is priceless…thank you so much..❣️
Thank you very much Evan
Thank you Evan for this encouraging message, and the beautiful location
from which you have delivered it.
I am looking forward to finding more evidence of the perpetual unfolding of
eternal life, no matter what seems to be real to the false material senses
at present. Going forward out of the false senses, and following the leadings
of Christ and the teachings of Christian Science I understand to be the true
way to find real life, which is “hid with Christ in God forever in the Tather’s
holy plan” (see hymn 370)

I think the link I posted above may seem to be the hymn I mentioned. It is in\fact
an article which I thought was quite helpful. I thought I would point this out as
it may be helpful to somebody It is called MAN HAS A DIVINE ORIGIN.
Thank you Evan and Maggie for expanding our views of eternal life!
Great article, Maggie. Thanks for sharing.
I’ll just add that today’s Spiritview speaks right to my heart. I have been increasingly conscious of a growing sense of limitation and fear for the future. That is certainly not how I want to view myself or others. Thank you, Evan, for this wake-up call.
Not yesterday, today and tomorrow…just this moment and coexistence. Thank you, Father—Mother for your Presence in the present and always!
Wow Evan, THANK YOU! That message, that truth is so powerful and helpful! It’s such a wakeup call to thought. It immediately made me think of and start singing Hymn 135 in our Christian Science Hymnal. I know the words by heart, but they were more meaningful than ever to me after listening to your Vlog. The first verse of the hymn says: “I know no life divided, O Lord of life, from Thee; In Thee is life provided For all mankind and me: I know no death, O Father, Because I LIVE IN THEE, Thy life it is that frees us from death eternally!” I could have capitalized every word in the hymn – but “because I live in Thee” stood out the 3rd time I read it, as I typed it. No separation! All Being One with God, eternal and infinite…. “…in Him we live, and move, and have our being…” (Acts 17:28)
Thank you, Sharon. Very appropriate thoughts and hymn.
Dear Evan, I think we all have gotten a chuckle out of “Dead Horse” being the location of your vlog. Seriously, though, I thank you for today’s message. It opened my eyes . I see the error in my thoughts about “destination.” On page 48 in Miscellaneous Writings, Mary Baker Eddy answers the question “Do you believe in God?” this way: “I believe more in Him than do most Christians, for I have no faith in any other thing or being. He sustains my individuality. Nay, more – He is my individuality and my Life. Because He lives, I live.”
Love this Cheryl, thank you.❣️
♥️
Thank you for that quote, Cheryl! ❤️❤️ I don’t remember seeing it before. Very helpful today!
♥️♥️
Just excellent Evan, thank you!❣️
Thank you so much, Evan, for this inspiring vlog! It gives a wonderful
perspective of what our Life really is – spiritual, not material. What
the material senses teach us or tell us is Not where our destination
should be. Thank you to you and Kathy, for taking us along with you
on your hikes to such beautiful places. So much appreciated.
Thank you Evan and all! It occurred to me that some may look forward to death because their current experience is not very pleasant. Like most humanity, after being convinced that death was her inevitable destination, my mom used to say, “I’m ready to go” (meaning die). She had some physical issues (she was not practicing CS anymore) that made doing everyday tasks difficult, so I guess she assumed death would make all her physical problems go away.
I shared a few days ago this citation from Luke 17:20, 21
======================
20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
======================
That Pharisee mindset that experiencing “heaven” is conditional on some cause or event external to us is something I’ve realized I need to guard my thinking against. Lately I’ve been praying with the idea that harmony is as close as my thinking and simply realizing harmony is already here is all I need to do to experience it. That truth is based on an understanding that God is the only cause, that God is Love and therefore God only causes good, that all is Mind and Mind’s manifestation and therefore any suggestion of another power or discordant cause (evil, matter) is not real and I don’t need to accept those suggestions as real. Eliminating the belief that death will resolve all our problems is key to destroying that belief.
Thank you SO much for this vlog message, Evan! I NEEDED to hear this message to stay on “the path of Life”. We are all called upon to get our things in order for “when”… Making sure to get your Will and other necessary legal documents in order and notarized for the big “when”. That does get you thinking about your own death, and you end up unconsciously marching along that line of thought with everyone else. Thank you SO much for this much-needed wake-up call!!

Ooops! So sorry, try this link instead to completely open the article completely:

Ugh..didn’t mean to put completely twice…I shouldn’t post stuff in a hurry lol. 🙂
p.s. Also loved the comment by Cheryl!
Thank you, J, for this perfect article from the Monitor. I have made sure to save it. (So glad you appreciate the quote from Mary Baker Eddy. We can and should never tire of our Leader’s divinely inspired words.) ♥️
Evan, this is a fantastic post! One of the best ever from my standpoint. I will endeavor all the more to declare my immortality each day and know that no matter what the body is trying to argue it is a false belief of a “supposititious mortal consciousness,” as this week’s lesson points out.

My current planning ahead is one more time getting clothes and stuff removed and cleaned for donating to charity resale stores. Hoping that these things will help those who are in need and lightening the burden for my sons when I am no longer on this earth. It’s a big job but ” the still small voice” has been reminding me to do as much as I can now! More to be done as time passes.
Very inspiring Granny Ginny. As someone who has had to order multiple dumpsters when a loved one has passed, purging is a very loving thing to do.
Wonderful Evan… great reminder!
Wow! I needed this so much! Thank you!!! I’m supposedly 83 years old, so it’s been so tempting to plan for death instead of eternal Life! You’ve given me wonderful things to think about!!
This is exactly what I needed to read this morning. Many, many thanks! And also for the suggestions of wonderful reading recommendations. Just perfecst!
Thank you Evan!!! This is very uplifting!! Thank you everyone for sharing. Life is eternal and we are living our eternal life now, and enjoying every minute of it with Joy !!!! This is truly exciting to consider and cherish !!!!! I am very Grateful for all of the ideas shared here on SV…
yes, Anna today’s SpiritView is very uplifting. And after I listened to this great SV I pondered, that Christ Jesus proved for us that death is an illusion and unreal through his glorious resurrection to divine everlasting Life.
Thank you very very much dear Evan for your very clear explanations that there can’t be anything like death as God is eternal Life and God is all and created us a l l. How wonderfully comforting it is to learn to understand this great Truth in Christian Science! Thank you again very much for your healing and so beautiful Vlog!
Thanks all for your inspiring comments and the articles. I’m looking forward to read them tomorrow.
Today’s vlog and the reflective comments are all
very helpful. Much gratitude to everyone for these
comforting thoughts.
Thank you! I appreciate and enjoy all of your messages, but I find this one especially relevant. Being in my mid-60’s, I can’t tell you how many long-time friends of the same age will say, “We are old.” I respond by telling them they may be but I am not!
This post blew me away and woke me up to tendencies of thought I don’t wish to have realized in my experiencce. This message applies to church, too. What do I see as the future of my branch church, as well as The Mother Church.. I would very much like to have a transcript of this message. Is that available?
I, too, had found myself thinking of end of life. I so appreciate this vlog and the reminder to keep though on eternal Life.
a transcript would be wonderful
Excellent. Thank you, Evan.
