Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.

Thank you, Evan. Trusting the Eternal in everything seems to be more important than ever before these days. I have not had TV for over 15 years, probably closer to 20 years. I haven’t missed it, ever. When I hear news reports while visiting friends and family and their TVs are blaring, I must admit, it gets a little scary. I am grateful for God’s love and care, for Mary Baker Eddy, and for Christian Science.
The August 4, 2026 SpiritView “Be wise about what you listen to” is SO helpful! Thank you for that, Evan. I found it while looking at older SV posts. It is just what I needed! Let discord of every name and nature be heard no more from any TV, friend’s or family’s!
Thanks Cheryl. Here’s a link to the August 4th SpiritView.

Cheryl,
Thank you for sharing this helpful Spiritview. It was just what I needed. This morning I checked Instagram and was surprised to immediately be plunged into posts of such doom and negativity. Normally I have mostly sweet animal stories or recipe posts. No idea why these frightening posts appeared, but it will be a good while before I return. That is not the daily bread I want or need.à
Yes, Joan, that was my experience, too! I am in a club that posts the activities, meeting notices, etc., on Facebook as an easy way to stay informed. I was overwhelmed by various posts of conspiracies and so much doom and gloom (not from the club) that I believe I’ll tell my fellow club members to keep me informed via USPS! I am glad the past SV was helpful to you, too. It was surely helpful to me.
Reminded me of Hymn 359
Trust the Eternal, when the shadows gather,
When joys of daylight seem so like a dream;
God the unchanging, pities like a father:
Trust on and wait, the daystar yet shall gleam.
Trust the Eternal, for the clouds that vanish
No more can move the mountains from their base
Than sin’s illusive wreaths of mist can banish
Light from His throne or loving from His face.
Trust the Eternal, repent in meekness
Of that heart’s pride which frowns and will not yield,
Then to thy child-heart shall come strength in weakness,
And thine immortal life shall be revealed.
Thank you, RobertH, for both the SV link and writing out the hymn. So kind of you! The author of the hymn is William P. McKenzie. He was a student of Mrs. Eddy, who did wonderful things. He was a practitioner and teacher. He was president of TMCc and he sat on the Bible Lesson Committee, in addition to being a poet. It’s nice to have both to refer to right at hand. Thank you again, Robert!
After posting the words to the hymn earlier today I read this article about William McKenzie and your description of him is spot on Cheryl. I’m amazed when reading about the early CS workers to learn how much they accomplished.

Thank you, Robert, for the fascinating Longyear article. I need to remind myself at times to be grateful for the present time on earth and not wish I had lived in Mrs. Eddy’s day and had the opportunity to meet her and all the first generation workers. But wow. Wouldn’t that have been a treasure!
Thank you!!!!
So timely. I am going for a major procedure on Monday which I am very apprehensive about. Have delayed it for 3 years but have decided to go ahead. Leaning on and trusting God is what I will endeavour to do. Thank you Evan.
A friend of mine recently decided to go down the medical route and as he said, God doesn’t wait outside the hospital door. Ever-present and everywhere, God’s love and protection will be with you.
God bless
So very true!
Absolutely! God is always with you and everywhere, fully present and All, all-acting. There’s just nowhere else you can be but in God. Everyone with you is also His complete, all-loving, beautiful reflection. We are never separated from the fullness of God’s power and love!
Every procedure, major or minor, proceeds from God, and remains with God.
It is spiritual, not material, as we are God’s perfect spiritual ideas,. So all
procedure has to be what God is doing, moving us forward under His loving care all the
way. There is nothing fearful or harmful or material in the way that God is
leading us forward. It all happens under the Law of God, infinite good.
So we thank our loving Father for keeping us safe and secure in His “Secret
Place” under the shadow of His wings, “where human sense hath not seen man”..
In this week’s Lesson we have: “If we live in the Spirit, let usqlso
walk in the Spirit” (Romans 8:2)
So, dear Caz, as Evan says above = Trust God from the bottom of your heart – He will
keep you on track.
P.S. Two other replies to you, Caz since I was writing the above. i don’t want
to confuse you, but it is totally your decision, and all will be well whatever, for
God never forsakes us. xx
So very true!
Thank you for this post and that wonderful verse. I try to trust God totally and the results are amazing, this is a great little reminder.
The story of George Muller was very inspiring for me. He and his wife decided to lean completely on God and on prayer, they sold their house and possessions. They went on to rescue orphans from the streets and opened children’s homes, saving thousands of children. Never fund raising, never doubting. This is a short film about him – the comments alone are wonderful! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4KZEU7681w
Thank you Izzy….looking forward to watching it. ❣️
Thank you. In Him we live, move and have our being. How can we not since man is reflection.
Thank you Evan and everyone!
So many wonderful comforts of Love expressed here today (and always).
The loving comments shared with Caz I am certain are very comforting
and helpful, as they are to all of us. What you had written, Cheryl about
listening to tv – I feel the same way, and also have not had a tv for years.
Getting news on the computer, where it can be easier to choose what
one wants to listen to, I have found more in control, than what the tv
wishes to blare it’s message that we might or might not want to hear.
(Of course a mute button or switching to something else works too!).
Thanks RobertH for the link … “and on the same branch bend” and
sweet little bird singing. And from the hymn, “wreaths of mist can
banish” reminds me of the mist obstructing the view of mountains
where mortal thinking sees illusions and things that sometimes just
are Not True.
Thank you All for sharing such loving thoughts.

Evan, I’m kinda angry about this well known foundational concept to follow as a Christian . its just that my beef is that I have been trying to find direction in life from the Divine Mind for most of my life. I’ve tried to do this since my 20s I’m in my 60s now. so kinda discouraged. I have taken jobs to survive, never followed something I wanted to do as I didn’t get my marching orders from god.
Hi John,
God’s “marching orders” are very clearly written out in the New Testament. Especially the Sermon on the Mount. Be a peacemaker, love others, have a pure heart, live humbly, love your enemies, seek spiritual riches, etc. It’s all there very clearly written out. If you’ve been living the Sermon on the Mount, then you’ve been hearing God’s directions very clearly and following them well. Good job!
I get confused as Mrs. Eddy also indicates that you forfeit God’s help and cannot mix the spiritual help with other methods, for instance, if you choose medical help and do not only rely on God and prayer instead.
Billions of people around the world every day rely on both things simultaneously that have never even heard of Christian Science. Can’t they expect God’s power to help them if they have chosen medical intervention and also pray to God for help or healing?
God is always present, always at work in everyone bringing them truth and love to guide and strengthen their thought. There isn’t anything you can do to get away from God, or forfeit God’s help. It’s always present.
If thought gets absorbed into a material sense of things, it might not feel so much of God’s presence, because material sense is the opposite of spiritual sense. But the more thought moves from a material perspective to a spirtiual perspective, the closer it feels to Love and the more readily available God’s healing love feels. Like the sun shines unconditionally upon one and all, God’s love shines on one and all too. But as eyes need to open to receive light, thought needs to open to feel the healing love of God, and of couse, anyone is free to do that!
Thank you for this beautiful clarification, Evan.
Truly God loves all of his perfect ideas equally and is omnipresent for everyone.
Thank you very much, dear Evan for your so clear SpiritView today! How wonderfully comforting your truthwords therein: “Listen for God’s voice in everything you do; everywhere you go; He is the one who will keep you on track.” That is so assuring of God’s everpresence and nearness and Love! ♡
I’m always very grateful for the healing articles given us from dear J and others here !
